WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH

As Manager, Brand Marketing for NSW, you will lead a dynamic team, collaborating closely with senior leaders and colleagues across brand, marketing, and marketplace functions. You will engage with a diverse array of professionals throughout the Matrix Organisation in Germany, the EMEA region, and globally. This role requires close partnership with key marketing areas including energy, entertainment, integrated marketplace marketing, media, communications, brand creative, sports marketing, and Sales & Direct, primarily within Nike’s Germany Offices and the wider EMEA network.

We are looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial self-starter with proven experience in team management. Your leadership style should be flexible, adapting to daily challenges while directly managing one team member. You will foster collaboration, encourage creative thinking, and leverage the diverse expertise of your colleagues to develop strategic solutions for a rapidly evolving consumer market.

You will report directly to the Senior Brand Marketing Director for Germany & Nordics, providing strategic guidance and influencing key decisions to ensure the highest standards of cross-functional execution.

The ability to blend creativity with data-driven insights and maintain alignment with key metrics is essential. Strong stakeholder management skills and a strategic mindset, coupled with attention to detail, are crucial for success in this Berlin-based role.

Applicants should clearly demonstrate the following experience. Those meeting these criteria will be further assessed on additional proficiencies.

  • At least 5 years’ experience in brand marketing or brand functional management, focusing on cross-functional marketing, ideally within the sneaker, streetwear, or youth culture sectors.
  • Minimum 2 years’ team leadership experience.
  • Proven strategic thinker with a record of leveraging competitive advantages and emerging trends, orchestrating exemplary cross-functional marketing initiatives.
  • Demonstrable passion and understanding of street, sneaker, youth culture and sports.
  • In-depth knowledge of the German consumer and the ability to engage them through a modern marketing mix.
  • Experience working across diverse marketplaces, from direct to wholesale.
  • Strong Relationships in the German Sneaker & Streetwear Industry.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

As Brand Manager for Germany, you will champion the Nike Sportswear vision for Men’s, Women’s, and Kids’, designing and implementing brand plans that truly resonate with German consumers & youth. You will drive cross-functional excellence in marketing, collaborating with key teams to deliver impactful seasonal product launches and initiatives for Nike Sportswear in Germany.

You will play a key role in shaping and advancing the future of Nike Sportswear in Germany.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Be the voice of German sneaker and streetwear consumers, uncovering valuable insights and using them to inspire creative marketing ideas and strategies.
  • Help shape the Nike Sportswear brand’s direction as part of the Germany Marketing leadership team. Guide decision-making for the NSW team, tell engaging brand stories, and create clear, effective briefs.
  • Develop long-term brand strategies for Nike Sportswear in Germany with a clear POV on the local Consumers, Brand Positioning, Product Strategies and the marketplace.
  • Craft seasonal cross functional marketing & consumer journeys plans that apply the a modern & highly localized marketing mix,
  • Lead the seasonal planning process, keeping all key stakeholders informed and involved at each stage.
  • Manage the local NSW brand budget ensuring the team has what it needs to innovate and drive marketing forward while ensuring forecasting & closing accuracy.
  • Work closely with colleagues at all levels, both in Germany and across EMEA and globally.
  • Support and develop your direct report, helping them grow and succeed every day.
  • Foster a culture based on Nike’s Maxims.
