CVS is looking for a curious, collaborative Application Developer to help build powerful, user‑centric solutions that move our business forward. In this role, you’ll design and develop advanced applications, improve development processes, and partner with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑impact results. What You’ll Do in this Independent Contributor Role"
  • Build and enhance applications that improve user experience and support business goals
  • Translate requirements into scalable technical solutions
  • Drive development best practices, automation, and quality improvements
  • Manage timelines, resources, and cross‑team collaboration
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and lead project updates
  • Mentor team members and contribute to a high‑performance engineering culture
  • Integrate new technologies and industry trends to support continuous innovation
Required Qualifications
  • 3+ years in healthcare, consulting, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL, pandas, NumPy
  • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Google Cloud)
  • 3+ years creating dashboards/visualizations (ThoughtSpot, Power BI, Dash, Plotly)
  • Experience building automated data pipelines
  • Strong collaboration with cross‑functional technical and clinical teams
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with healthcare data, cost/utilization metrics, risk adjustment, or value‑based care
  • Machine learning, statistical analysis, or generative AI exposure
  • Git/GitHub/GitLab, BigQuery, SQL Server, Airflow, .NET
  • Ability to present insights clearly to technical and non‑technical audiences
Education
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$83,430.00 - $185,400.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
