Location: Lexington, KY, North Bethesda, MD, or Boston, MA (Hybrid)

We're looking for a passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer Intern to join our Machine Learning Platform team!

What You’ll Do

As a Machine Learning Engineer Intern at Xometry, you will work on projects that directly impact our manufacturing processes and customer experience. You’ll be part of an innovative environment, gaining hands-on experience with the latest cloud technologies in support of enterprise data science efforts.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to research and design of our enterprise machine learning platform
  • Developing and extending APIs leveraged by multiple machine learning models and the Xometry application
  • Building pipelines and systems in AWS to support MLOps best practices
  • Collaborating with engineers and domain experts to understand business needs and translate them into effective solutions
  • Presenting your findings and insights to the team

Ideal candidates are pursuing a degree in:

  • Computer Science
  • Machine Learning
  • Artificial Intelligence
  • Or a related field

What We’re Looking For

  • Academic Excellence – Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, graduating in December 2025 or May 2026, with a minimum 3.5 GPA
  • Technical Skills – Strong experience with:
    • Programming languages: Python, Go
    • API frameworks: FastAPI, REST
    • Cloud computing platforms: AWS, Azure, GCP
    • Machine learning algorithms (regression, classification, clustering) and ML libraries (scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch) – a plus
  • Strong Work Ethic – Ability to work full-time (40 hours/week) during the internship period
  • Communication Skills – Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts clearly
  • Problem-Solving Mindset – Passion for solving problems and driving results
  • Legal Authorization – Must provide proof of legal right to work in the U.S.
  • Location Requirement – Must be able to commute to our Lexington, KY, North Bethesda, MD, or Boston, MA office at least 3 days a week
