The LN Human Resources Manager administers policies, procedures, and activities relating to all phases of HR activity for assigned program including hiring, recruiting, training, organizational development, communication, performance management, coaching, labor/employee relations, team building, salary, and benefits.
Essential Responsibilities:
Manages the application of established human resources policies in employee relations, wage and salary administration, employment, benefits administration, training, labor relations, safety, and special projects.
Assists in the administration of department activities, providing technical direction in functional areas of expertise.
Assigns, monitors and reviews progress and accuracy of work, directs efforts and provides technical guidance on more complex issues.
Prepares recommendations to upper management concerning human resources issues and concerns.
Manages the preparation of reports (as required by legislation or organization needs) and research in the development of human resources policies and procedures.
Interprets and ensures consistent application of organizational policies.
May serve as liaison with the community or other outside agencies with regard to human resources activities and programs.
Responsible for training and development of staff, estimating personnel needs, assigning work and meeting completion dates.
Provides leadership, coaching, and mentoring to assigned staff.
Engage with Legal/HR/Centers of Excellence regarding contract interpretation, negotiation, general practices, disciplinary issues as necessary, policies and procedures, and labor and employee relations impact.
Ensure legal compliance by reviewing federal, state, and local regulatory requirements and disseminating, explaining, and consulting regarding requirements.
Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.
Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
Minimum ten (10) years of HR Manger experience
Bachelor’s Degree in associated discipline; master’s preferred; may substitute two (2) additional years of experience in related field for each year of college
Bilingual English/ Spanish
