Associate Counsel – Global Litigation / Compliance / Commercial
Position Overview
The Counsel, Global Litigation / Compliance / Commercial will report to the VP, Sr. Associate General Counsel, Global Litigation / Compliance. This role presents a unique opportunity for a business-minded attorney to tackle a wide range of legal issues in support of strategic business initiatives and objectives for a growing, multi-billion dollar global company. Because this role sits in the litigation and compliance group, part of its responsibilities will be assisting with the company’s litigation matters and development and implementation of a global compliance program. But the role is much broader than that. We are specifically seeking an attorney who is eager to get exposure to all aspects of the company’s business and work on a variety of projects beyond litigation and compliance. For example, this role will assist with employment, product safety, regulatory, and commercial matters. It is also expected that this role will be involved with special projects that help drive the business. Therefore, a background in litigation is not required. Backgrounds in commercial / corporate, employment, regulatory and other areas of the law may be equally well-suited for this role. The right mind-set and drive are more important than specific subject matter expertise.
