Job Description

The Counsel Support Associate provides administrative support for Client Legal Services attorneys in an office under general attorney supervision in the state of Nevada. The role enters and manages data including pleadings, motions, and trial, arbitration, and mediation letters. This individual is also responsible for managing calendars and files related to events and details in the case management systems, confirming related events and activities, and monitoring and routing internal/external client inquiries, mail, faxes, etc. The role requires attention to detail, precision, and an interest in the litigation process, including client communication, scheduling, e-filing, and general file management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain compliance with TeamConnect (Litigation Management System)
  • Manage calendars and files related to events and details in the case management systems
  • Enter and manage data, including pleadings, motions, and trial, arbitration, and mediation letters
  • Handle confidential information with discretion
  • Handle calls and inquiries in an accurate and timely manner
  • Schedule hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials; reschedule and send related notices as needed
  • E-file documents with courts and maintain accurate records
  • Review files for completeness and accuracy, ensuring attention to detail and precision
  • Communicate with clients, vendors, and courts professionally and timely
  • Make basic decisions within established procedures under supervision
  • Ability and willingness to learn processes, draft documents, and use Microsoft Office efficiently
  • Ability to train others on immediate work group functions
  • Contribute to a collaborative and positive team environment

Education

  • High School Diploma or GED

Experience

  • Administrative experience in a legal or professional services setting preferred

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • This job does not have supervisory duties.

Compensation

Compensation offered for this role is $18.65 - 29.54 per hour and is based on experience and qualifications.
