Responsibilities 

  • Administering Leave Programs including managing FMLA, ADA, and other statutory leave programs, as well as company-specific leave policies.

  • Processing Leave Requests Assisting employees with completing leave requests, ensuring documentation is accurate and complete, and making recommendations for approval or denial.

  • Manage Unemployment Claims with our vendor by coordinating with the HRX team on termination reasons and termination documentation.

  • Providing Guidance educating employees and managers on leave policies, procedures, and legal requirements, and answering questions about leave eligibility, duration, and return-to-work procedures.

  • Maintaining accurate and organized records of all leave requests, approvals, denials, and employee information, and ensuring compliance with confidentiality regulations.

  • Collaborating with Other Departments working with payroll, benefits,and other HR teams to ensure accurate pay, benefits, and return-to-work processes.

  • Communicating with Employees, maintaining regular communication with employees on leave, providing updates on their leave status, and ensuring a smooth return-to-work process.Ensuring that the client POC is aware of what is happening with the leave.

  • Working with the HRBPs to investigate potential issues related to leave requests, such as fraud or non-compliance, and working to resolve them.

  • Assisting in developing, implementing, and improving leave administration processes and procedures.

  • Staying up-to-date on federal, state, and local leave laws and regulations, and ensuring that all leave administration practices are compliant.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of multistate US HR professional experience in a high-volume and fast paced environment

  • Strong analytical skills: identify, scope and collaborate with the HRBPS to resolve HR issues.

  • Data driven; you challenge status quo and strive to improve response times and employee experience

  • Experience using JIRA, Zendesk, or other ticketing tools is a plus, slack and google workspace.
