Our current hybrid approach requires staff to work onsite a minimum of two days each week, every Tuesday and Wednesday, Hybrid staff are also welcome to come in additional days each week or may be asked to come in on other days by their manager.
GBH is seeking an enthusiastic and curious Learning & Workforce Development Intern to join our Human Resource team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in employee learning, training design, communications, and workforce development within one of the nation's leading public media organizations.
As an Intern, you'll help create engaging learning experiences that support employee growth and career development across GBH. You'll work alongside HR professionals, business leaders, and subject matter experts while developing valuable skills in instructional design, project coordination, communications, data analysis, and employee engagement.
This role is ideal for students interested in Human Resources, Organizational Psychology, Communications, Education, Business, Marketing, or related fields.
What You'll Do
- Assist in creating and updating training materials, presentations, job aids, and e-learning content.
- Design engaging communications and promotional materials for employee learning programs.
- Support the planning and delivery of virtual and in-person learning events and workshops.
- Help manage GBH's Learning Management System (LMS), including course administration, participant communications, and reporting.
- Track participation and learning metrics to help measure program effectiveness.
- Gather and analyze employee feedback to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with HR team members and business leaders on special projects related to employee development and engagement.
What We're Looking For
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Interest in employee development, learning, training, or human resources.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort working independently while also collaborating with a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word); experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, or other content creation tools is a plus.
- Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to help others learn and grow.

INTERNSHIP OVERVIEW
GBH internships provide students with valuable work experience and real-world knowledge across many different fields of study, from TV and radio production to web design, accounting, law, and other administrative areas.
INTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Dates: October 5th to December 11th
Candidates must have their own computer and access to Wifi.
Candidates must be in an Undergrad or Grad program and have work authorization for the United States.
