Job responsibilities
- Drive execution of infrastructure financial management programs, including FinOps across public, private, and on-prem environments.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with engineering, finance, and procurement to ensure cost visibility, forecasting accuracy, and budget accountability.
- Coordinate the use of public and private cost tracking tools to streamline cost monitoring, ensuring alignment across teams. Collaborate with stakeholders to standardize cost-tracking processes and optimize data collection and analysis, driving cost-conscious outcomes and enabling informed decision-making to maintain budget efficiency and maximize program performance.
- Collaborate with application teams to program manage various technology life cycle projects, ensuring timely delivery, resource allocation, and effective risk management with a focus on identifying, mitigating, and addressing potential risks throughout the project lifecycle.
- Promote a culture of financial accountability through training, enablement, and adoption of cost-conscious engineering practices.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- 5+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, leading complex technology projects and programs in a large organization
- Strong understanding of infrastructure and cloud computing (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and pricing models
- Experience with on-prem and FinOps tools such as CloudHealth, Apptio Cloudability, Kubecost, or AWS Cost Explorer.
- Knowledge of Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Familiarity with cloud-native services (serverless, Kubernetes, containers).
- Strong analytical skills with experience in cost optimization, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven experience in managing large-scale technical programs and cross-functional teams.
- Strong stakeholder management, influencing, and communication skills.
- Experience in Agile methodologies, SAFe, or similar frameworks.
- Ability to translate technical details into business language for executive stakeholders
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
- Certifications: AWS Certified FinOps Practitioner, FinOps Certified Practitioner, PMP, or CSM.
- Experience in cloud financial governance, IT cost management, or cloud procurement strategies.
