Position Summary:


The Lead Technical Product Manager serves as a strategic leader responsible for establishing and communicating portfolio-level vision while managing complex products or small portfolios with active development roadmaps. The position demands exceptional influence and communication skills to work effectively across technical product teams, cross-functional business teams, and executives using both direct and earned leadership. The Lead Technical Product Manager will mentor team members in discovering user problems, finding solutions, creating viable delivery plans, and coordinating resources to execute successfully. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional who can balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and agile software delivery practices.

State specific pay scales for this role are as follows:

$118,664 to $230,619 (CA, NJ, NY, WA, HI, AK, MD, CT, RI, MA)

$107,876 to $209,653 (NV, OR, AZ, CO, WY, TX, ND, MN, MO, IL, WI, FL, GA, MI, OH, VA, PA, DE, VT, NH, ME)

$97,089 to $188,688 (UT, ID, MT, NM, SD, NE, KS, OK, IA, AR, LA, MS, AL, TN, KY, IN, SC, NC, WV)


In CA: Typical hiring range is $157,177 to $218,302 


The expected base salary for this position will vary depending on a number of factors, including relevant experience, skills and location.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Build and manage a talented, diverse, inclusive team of product managers, owners, and associates  
  • Shape the product tech roadmap, both short term and long-term  
  • Partner closely with a team of product managers, engineers, user experience, customer experience, data analysts to deliver high quality experiences across markets, platforms, and product surfaces  
  • Implement and foster adoption of product management processes and best practices across the team 
  • Craft and own the tech vision for the product space in the organization and steer the team and experiences towards that North Star  
  • Develop product talent to build a thriving culture where the team grow in their careers and feel a strong sense of belonging and impact 
  • Other functions may be assigned

Qualifications

Education:

  • BA or equivalent preferred. MBA is a strong plus.

Experience:

  • 5+ years in Product Management  
  • 5+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, and user research teams  

Preferred: 

  • 8+ years in Product Management  
  • 8+ years of experience working collaboratively with product, engineering, design, and user research teams
  • 3+ years of Sr. Manager level work, including hiring and developing managers and senior individual contributors

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Exceptional business, design, communication, and people management skills. 
  • Ability to work as a partner and peer to your partners in product, leadership, engineering, and customer experience.
  • Ability to utilize your full range of people and product management skills to help these teams be successful.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive strategic direction.
  • Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with both business and technical stakeholders and influence other leaders.
  • Comfort operating at different vertical levels at the organization including individual contributors to senior executives.
  • Ability to build ground-up solutions where none exist including all steps of ideation, design, implementation and monitoring.
  • Strong financial acumen and data-driven approach to solving problems.
  • Passionate about customer and agent empathy.
  • Strong verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
