Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

As part of the energy transition, GE Power Conversion is willing to grow its activities in North America by promoting solutions for the Datacenter segment. As part of GE Power Conversion core portfolio, these activities mainly encompasses BESS and Automation Energy Management System solution, combining automation features (electrical stability), Energy Storage and Digital features (smooth Customers’ operations), aiming to ensure the electrical availability of Mission-Critical facilities and Micro-Grids.

You will be the North America representative, acting to :

  • Promote the EMS solution to accelerate its growth in the Datacenter, Industrial businesses to decarbonation, and Electrical energy production to increased renewable penetration.

  • Securing relationship, technical & commercial responsiveness and business model understanding with key demanding & creditworthy customers.

You will utilize conceptual thinking and leverage a team of experts to quickly determine applicability of GEV Power Conversion’s partial/combined solutions to shape and quote, BESS + Automation solutions providing customers to solving their challenges.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical expertise to Sales and Commercial Operations in selecting, implementing, and developing competitive solutions.

  • Provide technical Solutions unitary product / combining Power Electronics systems – BESS – EMS – Asset Performance Management, Remote services and Cyber Security, to meet the customer requirement for the inquiry received through Sales teams:

    • Review customer specifications, ensure offering satisfies requirements and identify exceptions and/or clarifications.

    • Preparing the technical proposal, fulfilling deviation lists, planning & other related documents.

    • Challenge & follow up the concerned people to get the data to ensure on-time delivery throughout the entire bid process.

    • Revising proposals as necessary.

  • Support business deliverables from other GEV business units, on technical proposals that include specific digital features, as Business Optimization (BO) and Operations Optimization (OO).

  • Supporting regional commercial operations on converting the technical proposal into a ‘ready to deliver’ commercial proposal.

  • Track opportunity status.

  • Collaborate on Sourcebook Articles/Technical Proposal Templates.

  • Coordinate with sales managers to make customer calls and presentations and participate in bid meetings and walk-through meetings with the customer as necessary.

  • Identify & mitigate the technical risks involved & communicate to the Sales team.

  • Generating cost estimates for proposed solutions and established quoting limits.

  • Assuring all opportunities follow defined processes / Review and own proposal related metrics.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited university or college in business discipline.

  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in a commercial, engineering, or technical sales function.

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and globally (up to 30% of the time).

Desired Characteristics:

Technical Expertise:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Automation/Power Electronics Engineering from an accredited university or college in business discipline.

  • Familiarity with power balancing: Fossil Power plants in Combined Cycle – Single cycle / Renewable impact on Power quality knowledge / Distribution specificities for off Grid facilities.

  • Product knowledge related to Energy Storage Systems for Datacenters.

  • Experience using SFDC (Salesforce.com).

  • Familiarity with aftermarket services to cover installations “from Initial Inquiry to dismantling”.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven track record for delivering results and leading projects or bids in a dynamic business environment.

  • Strong customer focus mindset and willingness to meet tight deadlines.

Business Acumen:

  • Strong business analysis and problem-solving skills.

  • Experience working in a B2B environment.

  • Ability to interact at all levels of the organization and with other GE Vernova businesses.

Leadership:

  • Strong, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.

  • General urgency in execution and tendency toward speed with ability to adapt and change.

  • Proven ability to influence through persuasion, negotiation, and consensus building.

  • Experience and demonstrated success working collaboratively in a cross-functional environment.

  • Self-starter, high motivation level.

  • Perform multitasking capabilities for handling more than one projects at a time.

  • Willingness and ability to work as required, within a short cycle, occasionally high-pressure environment.

  • English fluent, French is a bonus.

For candidates applying to a Canadian-based position, the pay range for this position is between $99,800 and $149,800 CAD. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $92,800.00 and $154,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.

Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
