Job Description

Job Summary

IT Software Quality Assurance Analysts ensure the quality, functionality, and reliability of software applications and IT systems before they are released to production. They develop and execute test plans, identify defects, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues. Their work helps ensure that technology solutions meet user requirements, industry standards, and organizational expectations.

Job Architecture

  • Defines and enforces QA governance, metrics, and automation strategy.
  • Coordinates testing efforts across distributed teams and vendors.
  • Leads test architecture design and tool selection.
  • Communicates risk and quality metrics to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Champions continuous improvement in QA processes and tools.
  • Operates with high autonomy; drives cross-functional alignment on quality objectives.
  • Recognized expert in QA methodologies and automation.
  • Leads large-scale initiatives and strategic QA efforts.
  • Provides mentorship, oversight, and technical guidance to the QA team.
  • Leads test strategy, planning, and execution for complex initiatives or multiple teams.
  • Designs and evolves automation frameworks; ensures integration with CI/CD pipelines.
  • Conducts trend analysis and proactively addresses systemic quality issues.
  • Mentors junior and mid-level QA staff; provides technical QA leadership.
  • Sets and influences quality standards and best practices across the organization.
  • Communicates QA strategy and quality risks to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Leads complex or specialized initiatives within a defined scope and discipline.
  • Identifies potential business, operational, or regulatory considerations and develops solutions to support program, project, or service direction.
  • Individual contributor performing work independently; guidance is typically required only in exceptional or highly complex circumstances.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned by management's as assigned by management

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred

Experience

  • Typically requires 8+ years of related work experience
