About Pinterest:

Millions of people around the world come to our platform to find creative ideas, dream about new possibilities and plan for memories that will last a lifetime. At Pinterest, we’re on a mission to bring everyone the inspiration to create a life they love, and that starts with the people behind the product.

Discover a career where you ignite innovation for millions, transform passion into growth opportunities, celebrate each other’s unique experiences and embrace the flexibility to do your best work. Creating a career you love? It’s Possible.

We are looking for an experienced Product Marketing Manager to join our Consumer Marketing team. In this role, you’ll shape and bring to life our social growth strategy. Pinterest is known as a personal space, safe from the pressure and judgement of social media. However, creating a life you love requires support from others, both close connections and ability to get inspired by others with excellent taste. As we invest more deeply in defining and bringing connection to life on Pinterest, you will help us take our experience to the next level, while ensuring we remain true to our brand values. As lead Growth PMM, you’ll provide a data-driven market perspective to shape the features we build and how we bring them to market. Working with our product, engineering, design, research, comms and marketing teams, you’ll provide market and customer insights to inform product strategy, define product messaging and positioning, and drive global go-to-market strategies to increase awareness and adoption of our products. You’ll be the glue that brings teams together, turning bold ideas into strategies and solutions that boost engagement and foster user love for Pinterest.

What you’ll do:

  • Product Strategy: Shape our product strategy through market, competitive and user research in collaboration with UX research, brand research, data science, and other cross-functional teams. Create market requirement documents (MRD) to inform product development, and design alpha/beta experiments to inform product launch strategy.
  • Go-to-market Planning: Develop and execute GTM strategies, including the positioning, messaging, user education, and in-product marketing strategies necessary to drive adoption of, and sustained engagement with key product features.
  • Narrative building: Craft strategic narratives for Pinterest’s consumer product offerings aimed at consumers, partners, and investors.
  • Analysis: Use data and insights to set goals, measure impact, and guide iteration across launches and ongoing growth initiatives.
  • Cross-functional alignment: Drive XFN alignment throughout the go-to-market process, including securing buy-in from the executive team.
  • Product education & enablement: Educate and inspire internal and external teams with the context, resources, and training needed to champion our consumer experiences.

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.
  • 7+ years of Consumer product marketing and/or product management experience at a fast growing tech company.
  • Proven ability to craft compelling positioning, messaging and go-to-market plans that resonate with users.
  • Strong analytical mindset - you are comfortable using data to inform decision-making and measure impact.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that carries a degree of ambiguity.
  • A passion for Pinterest!

Relocation Statement:

  •  This position is not eligible for relocation assistance. Visit our PinFlex page to learn more about our working model.

In-Office Requirement Statement:

  • We let the type of work you do guide the collaboration style. That means we're not always working in an office, but we continue to gather for key moments of collaboration and connection.
  • This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times per quarter, and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
