Job Summary:
The AI Adoption & Enablement Lead is responsible for helping BJ’s workforce effectively adopt and apply AI tools and capabilities across the enterprise. Reporting to the Director of AI Strategy & Governance, this role drives AI literacy, coordinates the AI Champion network, and supports the adoption of enterprise productivity tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude.
This role sits within the centralized AI Strategy & Enablement function and focuses on ensuring that AI capabilities translate into meaningful improvements in productivity, decision-making, and operational execution. The role works closely with HR, Learning & Development, Communications, and technology teams to design programs that help employees understand where AI can add value and how to use it responsibly and effectively.
This role works in close support of the productivity platform team—the group responsible for ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude licensing and rollout—acting as an adoption accelerator for their work rather than a parallel or competing function.
The ideal candidate combines organizational change leadership with strong, hands-on experience using modern AI productivity tools and applying them to real business workflows.
Key Responsibilities:
Enterprise AI Literacy & Workforce Enablement
- Partner with HR, L&D, and Communications to develop training programs, workshops, and self-guided learning resources that build role-based AI literacy and capabilities.
- Develop and demonstrate practical guidance (including prompting techniques and real-world usage patterns) for enterprise AI tools such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude.
- Continuously explore emerging AI capabilities and translate them into practical workflow improvements across corporate and operational teams.
- Monitor adoption patterns, employee feedback, and training participation to identify where additional support is needed.
- Partner with technology and security teams to distribute communications and training, ensuring AI tools are used responsibly, securely, and in compliance with enterprise guidelines.
AI Champion Network
- Establish, coordinate, and develop the enterprise AI Champion network across departments.
- Facilitate collaboration among AI Champions to share lessons learned, practical use cases, and adoption strategies.
- Create a feedback loop that surfaces operational insights and adoption barriers to the centralized AI team and product managers.
Centralized AI Hub
- Develop the AI Hub as a centralized point of communication, ensuring content governance, accuracy, and communication are managed with operational support from relevant business and technology teams.
- Keep Hub content organized, current, and easy to navigate.
- Publish updates and decisions in a timely, accessible way.
- Use analytics and feedback to continuously improve the Hub’s relevance and usability.
Productivity Platform Collaboration
- Work closely with the teams responsible for enterprise productivity platforms (including AI assistants such as ChatGPT, Copilot, and Claude) to support effective adoption across the organizAI Enation.
- Collaborate with product managers responsible for these tools to align enablement efforts with platform capabilities, licensing strategies, and security guidelines.
- Help define and track metrics that measure enterprise AI adoption, workforce engagement, and productivity impact.
- Ensure adoption programs complement and reinforce the work of product teams responsible for productivity platforms.
Professional Experience / Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of experience in business analysis, digital operations, technology implementation, or a similar role at the intersection of business process and technology
- Genuine, hands-on fluency with enterprise AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, Claude) including practical prompting techniques and workflow integration, demonstrated through real use, not just familiarity
- Experience translating complex technology capabilities into practical guidance for non-technical business users
- Track record of driving technology adoption through direct engagement with end users (training, coaching, documentation, communities of practice), even if this wasn't the primary job title
- Comfort working with HR, L&D, and Communications teams to develop and deliver programs, without needing to own those functions
- Strong communication and facilitation skills; able to make AI tangible and accessible for skeptical or inexperienced audiences
- Demonstrated curiosity about the AI landscape—self-directed learning, experimentation, staying current on emerging tools and techniques
- Bachelor's degree required
