Role Summary

As a Key Account Manager you will be responsible for providing client relationship to a client or clients through relationships with senior managers in the client organization and growing revenues by leveraging the full IQVIA offerings and identifying new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understands the key priorites of the client to achieve or exceed the assigned revenue and growth goal in assigned account(s) or sales territory.
  • Based on long term relationship with client, acts as advisor on marketing, market research, sales management, industry issues, trends and IQVIA product, consulting, technology and service capabilities.
  • Anticipates clients’ needs and, in collaboration with IQVIA marketing, sales specialists, consulting, technology, HTA and client service, develops and presents proposed solutions to client's complex business issues.
  • Identifies and leads the pursuit of the targeted new business and contract expansion opportunities within assigned account(s).
  • Typically interfaces with marketing, market research, sales management, market access, regulatory, medical, business development, production, and/or IT at the manager level in existing and prospective client(s).
  • Represents the company to the client and the client to the company in all sales related activities.
  • Monitors client satisfaction with contracted deliverables and works with sales management team and Client Service’s management to achieve and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Communicates news from the market and understands impact on IQVIA business.
  • Effectively manages renewals and subscriptions.
  • As required, may participate in contract renewal efforts on large contracts.
  • May work with global and regional account management in the pursuit of multi-country opportunities.

Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • At least 3 years of prior relevant sales or account management experience and/or solution sales management experience (preferred)
  • Bachelor degree is required, Postgraduate Degree is a nice to have
  • Demonstrated analytical skills
  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Effective negotiation skills
