Own the full sales cycle for an AI-powered learning platform targeting private and independent K-12 schools. Responsibilities include prospecting, product demonstrations, consultative selling, negotiation, and closing net-new business. Build relationships with Heads of School, Business Officers, and technology or innovation leaders while developing a new market segment. The role requires quota ownership, self-direction, comfort with ambiguity, and knowledge of private-school technology procurement.
The summary above was generated by AI

A fast-growing education technology company is expanding its sales team to bring its AI-powered learning platform into independent and private K-12 schools. You'll join a small, high-growth sales organization at a Series A company that's actively investing in this segment as a new growth line alongside its higher-ed business. We're looking for a full-cycle seller who's energized by building something from the ground up rather than working an established territory, and who brings genuine curiosity about how schools evaluate and adopt new technology. The right person is self-directed, comfortable with ambiguity, and motivated by helping schools bring safe, effective AI support to students and teachers.

If you have…

  • Demonstrable quota-carrying sales experience in K-12 EdTech, with private or independent schools as your core market
  • Full-cycle account executive experience — prospecting, demoing, negotiating, and closing net-new business independently
  • Understanding how independent and private schools buy: relationships with Heads of School, Business Officers, or Directors of Technology/Innovation, and comfort with the shorter, less RFP-driven procurement cycles typical of private schools (versus public district processes)
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding quota in a consultative sales environment

We look forward to hearing from you!

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
