Junior Marketing Manager

About the role

We’re looking for a creative, organized person who is comfortable with social media and knows how to use AI to work more efficiently. This is a hands-on dealership marketing role for someone with limited professional experience who wants to learn the business and grow into greater responsibility.

You’ll help bring our vehicles, people, and customer experience to life online. You don’t need years of experience managing a marketing department. We’re looking for initiative, good judgment, strong follow-through, and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Create social media content, including photos, short videos, reels, stories, and posts
  • Capture vehicle walkarounds, employee features, dealership events, and customer stories with appropriate permission
  • Maintain a content calendar and coordinate with sales, service, and management to highlight relevant vehicles, offers, and dealership news
  • Monitor comments and messages, respond professionally, and connect customer inquiries with the appropriate team
  • Assist with website updates, email campaigns, promotions, and community marketing
  • Use AI tools to brainstorm ideas, draft captions, repurpose content, organize projects, and reduce time spent on repetitive tasks
  • Review AI-generated work for accuracy and brand consistency, protect customer information, and obtain approval for pricing, offers, and promotional claims
  • Track engagement, website traffic, and inquiries to understand what’s working and recommend improvements
  • Keep marketing materials organized and follow projects through to completion

What we’re looking for

  • A working knowledge of Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and current social media format
  • Basic photography and video skills, including shooting on a smartphone and making simple edits
  • Familiarity with tools such as ChatGPT, Canva, or CapCut, and an interest in learning new technology
  • Strong writing skills, attention to detail, and good judgment about public-facing content
  • Comfort working with different departments and taking initiative to find content opportunities
  • The ability to write and organize SEO content that helps our sites stay relevant.
  • Organization, reliability, and the ability to manage several small projects at once
  • A positive response to feedback and a genuine desire to develop professionally

Experience and qualifications

Previous dealership experience is not required. Personal projects, internships, freelance work, volunteer experience, and social media accounts you’ve helped manage all count.

Growth opportunity

This position begins with hands-on content creation and day-to-day marketing execution. As you demonstrate your skills and learn the business, the role can expand into campaign planning, performance reporting and broader marketing management.

What you need to know about the Boston Tech Scene

Boston is a powerhouse for technology innovation thanks to world-class research universities like MIT and Harvard and a robust pipeline of venture capital investment. Host to the first telephone call and one of the first general-purpose computers ever put into use, Boston is now a hub for biotechnology, robotics and artificial intelligence — though it’s also home to several B2B software giants. So it’s no surprise that the city consistently ranks among the greatest startup ecosystems in the world.

Key Facts About Boston Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 269,000; 9.4% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Thermo Fisher Scientific, Toast, Klaviyo, HubSpot, DraftKings
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, software, aerospace
  • Funding Landscape: $15.7 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Summit Partners, Volition Capital, Bain Capital Ventures, MassVentures, Highland Capital Partners
  • Research Centers and Universities: MIT, Harvard University, Boston College, Tufts University, Boston University, Northeastern University, Smithsonian Astrophysical Observatory, National Bureau of Economic Research, Broad Institute, Lowell Center for Space Science & Technology, National Emerging Infectious Diseases Laboratories
