You like helping people and likely have some past networking or IT experience. There will be a myriad of inbound from your team members every week that blocks them from doing their job. You see it as vital to enable them to excel in their work. You will be responsible for setting up new computers (mac and linux), tracking and maintaining software patches using JAMF. Setting up user accounts, security tutorials and maintenance of network infrastructure.
Your responsibilities in this role
* Deploy solutions for the administration of the company's Mac and Linux computers and related upgrades
* Install, track, and maintain all software and applications on company machines using JAMF
* Track assets, respond to the loss of a device, and order new devices
* Perform in-office hardware and network maintenance and upgrades
* Setup new accounts, laptops, and desktops for new hires
* Closing accounts and offboarding for departures
* Setup security tutorials for the company team members
* Managing vendors to perform penetration testing on our systems
What we're looking for
* Familiarity with Linux and OSX command prompt and utilities
* System administration experience preferred
* Reside in commuting distance to Boston or willing to relocate
* Experience with Presidio, Palo Alto Networks, or Cogent preferred
