About Port

At Port.io, we are building an open and flexible Agentic Engineering Platform for modern engineering organizations. Following our recent $100M Series C funding round, we are in a phase of rapid hypergrowth with strong enterprise momentum.

We act as the central nervous system for engineering, enabling platform teams to unify their stack and expose it as a governed layer through golden paths for developers and AI agents.

By combining rich engineering context, workflows, and actions, we help organizations transition from manual processes to autonomous, AI-assisted engineering workflows while maintaining control and accountability.

As a product-led company, we believe in building world-class platforms that fundamentally shape how modern engineering organizations operate.

Why we’re looking for you 😎

We’re looking for an IT Specialist (US) to join our growing team and support our US offices. As part of the IT organization, you’ll play a key role in ensuring smooth Technical Operations, supporting local and remote employees, and maintaining our hardware and infrastructure standards. This role will be the face of IT for our US employees - helping them onboard seamlessly, stay productive, and feel supported across all their technology needs.

You’ll be hands-on with user support, endpoint provisioning, and device lifecycle management and SaaS application support. Overseeing local infrastructure, managing onsite tech operations, and representing IT for the US region as our team expands.

What you’ll do 💼

  • Provide day-to-day IT support for Boston-based employees and remote US staff, as well as timezone coverage for worldwide employees.
  • Handle onboarding and offboarding processes - including account provisioning, hardware setup, and access management.
  • Manage endpoint configuration, maintenance, and lifecycle, ensuring compliance with company security and configuration standards.
  • Support corporate applications (Google Workspace, Jumpcloud, Zoom, Slack, Jira, Notion, etc.) and help troubleshoot access and integration issues.
  • Serve as the onsite lead for IT-related operations for Port’s North America sites (might require travel), coordinating vendor visits, hardware deliveries, and office network maintenance.
  • Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards, including SOC2 controls.

Who you’ll work with 👯‍♀️

You’ll report directly to the Head of IT and collaborate closely with IT peers in other regions, Security, HR, and Facilities. You’ll be the key IT point of contact for our North America -based employees, providing exceptional support and representing IT within the local office.

What we’re looking for 📝

  • 5+ years of experience in IT support, systems administration, and endpoint management in tech companies.
  • Strong knowledge of macOS and Windows environments, device management tools (JumpCloud, Jamf, Intune, or similar), and identity systems (Jumpcloud, Okta, Google Workspace or similar).
  • Experience supporting SaaS business applications such as Slack, Zoom, Atlassian, and Notion.
  • Understanding of IT security best practices and compliance-oriented environments.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and customer service skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have (Advantages) 🌟

  • Experience with automation tools (e.g., N8N, or scripting in Python/Bash).
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP, SOC2, or ISO 27001 compliance frameworks.
  • Previous experience in a high-growth SaaS or startup environment.
  • Network administration or infrastructure experience (i.e. Meraki).
