Position Summary

The Learning & Development IT Procurement Specialist – Learning Technology Software role supports the sourcing, acquisition and procurement of Learning Technology Software and the successful delivery of enterprise training initiatives by managing key projects and contributing to vendor strategy within the Learning & Development (L&D) function. This role focuses on sourcing and implementing new learning technologies and supporting innovation efforts such as the “classroom of the future.”   While day-to-day vendor management is handled by the Training Operations vendor team, this role plays a critical part in identifying and onboarding new vendors, coordinating cross-functional efforts, and ensuring project execution aligns with business goals.

Responsibilities include:

L&D Software Vendor Procurement & Acquisition Strategy (Approx. 50%)

  • Supports the sourcing, onboarding, and implementation of new learning technology software vendors and solutions.
  • Partners with Procurement, Legal, and the Training Ops vendor management team to facilitate RFPs, contract setup, and vendor readiness.
  • Coordinates vendor activities related to strategic initiatives such as classroom modernization and digital learning transformation.
  • Tracks vendor performance during implementation phases and ensures alignment with project goals and timelines.
  • Prepares reports and presentations for leadership on vendor selection, implementation progress, and value realization.

Technology Vendor Management (Approx. 50%)

  • Leads the planning and execution of training-related projects, ensuring delivery within scope, timeline, and budget.
  • Develops project plans and timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams, including L&D, Talent, and HR Ops.
  • Facilitates project meetings, tracks milestones, and manages risks and issues to keep initiatives on track.
  • Communicates project status and updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Maintains accurate documentation and supports post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned.
  • Contributes to process improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery and vendor operations.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in project management, vendor coordination, and business operations.
  • 3+ years’ experience sourcing, identifying and procuring Learning Technology Software.
  • 1+ year experience supporting training or Learning & Development functions.
  • 1+ year experience identifying & onboarding new Technology Vendors for Learning & Development functions.
  • 1+ year experience working with project management tools and systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Experience in HR, talent management, or enterprise learning.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience accepted.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$54,300.00 - $159,120.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
