What we Need:

The SES AI Information Technology team is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IT Manager who is eager to learn and grow in a fast-paced technology environment. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver with strong communication skills, ready to support daily IT operations and implement AI in our internal processes.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Technical Support and Operations:
    • Provide first-line IT support for global users, resolving support tickets and troubleshooting hardware/software issues.
    • Assist with IT onboarding and offboarding processes for employees.
    • Help maintain and update technical documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Support account management and permission granting in IT systems.
    • Monitor business applications and infrastructure, escalating issues as needed.
    • Assist with deployment and validation of Virtual Machines (VMs) and support lab equipment needs.
    • Follow established security protocols and assist with basic cybersecurity tasks (e.g., patching, anti-virus updates).

  • Security & Compliance
    • Develop, maintain, and enforce a robust enterprise-wide Information Security and Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Program (DRP/BCP).
    • Strategically managing the company’s cybersecurity exposure by overseeing collaboration with third-party cybersecurity vendors and implementing protective controls.
    • Ensure the security and protection of all systems and data through required controls, including automated backups validated patch cycles (Operating System Updates, air-gapped systems), anti-virus software, and strict access protocols.
    • Manage and maintain technical documentation and evidence required for internal and external SOX audits.
    • Manage detailed control items such as group transfers and exception handling in the Security (Sentinel One) System.

 

  • Operations & Infrastructure
    • Own and oversee all system administration functions for various business systems, ensuring required integration, secure remote access capabilities, and overall system compatibility across the organization.
    • Oversee the daily monitoring and operations of business applications and infrastructure, proactively providing ongoing support and maintenance to minimize operational disruptions.
    • Manage the first-line IT support function for all global users, ensuring timely and effective resolution of all support tickets.
    • Manage account management and permission granting in the Remote (Ninja) System.
    • Manage account management and detailed control items in the Ticket (Fresh Service) System.
  • Team & Stakeholder Management
    • Manage, mentor, and lead the US, Korea, and China IT team (Total 3), driving performance, professional development, and alignment with organizational goals.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 5 to 8+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology.
  • Proven, in-depth technical expertise managing and securing enterprise infrastructure, including mastery of Windows Server, Microsoft 365 (administration and security), AWS and/or Azure environments, and diverse end-user operating systems (Windows OS, mac OS/iOS).
  • Strong background in the governance and lifecycle management of enterprise software, hardware, and server systems, including backup, recovery, patching, and asset management.
  • Proven ability to strategically multi-task and prioritize complex projects and critical operational needs under fixed schedules and in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, non-technical terms for senior executives and non-technical staff.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Preferred Competency in Mandarin or Korean is a strong plus, given the management of teams/operations in these regions.
