The IT Director, Commercial Architect and IT Business Partner will be responsible for partnering within the Sensata organizations to develop and execute an IT Strategy and Roadmap aligned with business needs and priorities. Sensata has business processes that are at various levels of standardization which will benefit from technology simplification, alignment and utilization globally. This role is the key IT leader driving continuous improvement and program execution to improve the efficiency of our Commercial and Business Partner teams. This role is key in leading the respective teams across the global organization, supporting these functions today and serving as a single point of escalation for the business organizations and assisting with the prioritization of work that is needed to run day-to-day operations. Deploying standards, reducing complexity and adding value to our customers are key focus areas that this role will directly influence.
General Responsibilities
- Coordinate with Business partners, IT leadership and other technical managers to oversee the strategic development of internal and cloud-based systems and help build and maintain 3-5-year roadmap for key business processes and systems
- Direct the activities for the commercial business processes related to Information Technology in the company, involving the definition, development, maintenance and operation of technology
- Advises on the selection of hardware and software to meet business partners requirements
- Oversees and reports on allocation of IT budget
- Transparently communicates throughout the IT organization and business
- Identify areas of improvements and concerns and accordingly develop action plans
- Work with business & IT to build solutions based on best practices, that utilize technologies already available where appropriate.
- Provide insights to Master Data Team for building MDM solutions around Customer, Supplier, and Product
- Provide insights and design guidance as it relates to system integrations.
- Provide business architecture, systems architecture, and systems processing guidance to IT teams including Business Analysts, System Analysts, and Infrastructure teams.
- Assist in IT Integration for M&A as well as divestures
- Guide team in templatizing data conversions activities to reduce project cycle time.
- Lead and approve design reviews
- Create and maintain System Architecture documents
- Adjust architectures to support changing requirements, maintaining performance, reliability, and security.
- Lead team and guide them through the enhancement requests
- Where appropriate, leverage Agile and devOps methodologies
Experience / Qualifications
- A university degree required (i.e. Bachelors degree) or equivalent relevant work experience.

The Commercial Applications Architect will be accountable for the platforms supporting the business in this process area. They act as a bridge between business needs and technology solutions, ensuring that all platform capabilities are designed and used to their fullest potential. Example platforms to be supported include Salesforce, Oracle EBS, and a future migration to Oracle Cloud.
The IT Business Partner will work with Sensata’ s Solution Delivery Managers, Business Analysts, and Developers to recommend, design and confirm that business requirements align into Sensata’s platforms and are aligned to best practices.
This position will be subject to U.S. export control requirements under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Employment is contingent on either verifying the U.S. Person status or obtaining any necessary export license.
