Location/Region: This is a remote position; candidates must reside within the United States.

What’s the role?

We are seeking a highly articulate individual with an interest in Sales and/or Business Development to join our organization as an Internal Business Development Representative (iBDR) within our Marketing Department.  The IBDR is a remote business-to-business sales representative responsible for conducting sales calls with prospective and existing accounts. Identify and qualify sales opportunities to drive territory growth and expand market share. Promote ZEISS products and services, using both consultative and conceptual selling approaches. This is a great opportunity to experience and learn about Sales, Marketing and/or Business Development in a large corporate environment.

Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Identify and qualify leads for opportunities to drive territory growth
  • Explore new and creative ways of reaching our customers and increasing business
  • Contact declining accounts and re-engage to re-establish lost business.
  • Create strategic approaches to generate interest in meeting with a field Sales Representative. (BDR)
  • Support Open Territories remotely, to meet and exceed sales growth.
  • Documenting interactions with customers within Salesforce.
  • Support Marketing and Sales growth initiatives nationwide
  • Track and report progress of prospective and new accounts to Marketing and Sales management
  • Be part of key initiatives and projects throughout the year
  • Establish working relationship with local territory sales team to increase business
  • Perform additional tasks as required.
  • Follow safety standards and report any safety concerns to leadership.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Local Travel | Precent: from 10% to 25%

Do you qualify?

  • Prefer bachelor’s degree or 2-3 years of experience in direct sales, telesales, customer support, marketing, or sales support.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in direct sales, telesales, customer support, marketing, or sales support
  • Knowledge of Optical products or experience in optical dispensing
  • Optical industry experience preferred
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce a plus
  • Specific familiarity with ECP & accounts a strong plus.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

  • Excellent phone presence and ability to speak and communicate ideas clearly
  • Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and analytical skills required
  • Customer service experience
  • Experience with a multi-national brand, global company preferred.

The hourly pay range for this position is $23.00 - $28.00.

The pay offered for this role may be influenced by factors such as job location, scope of role, qualifications, education, experience, & complexity/specialization/scarcity of talent.
  
This position is eligible for a Performance Bonus.
