This position is responsible for assisting the in-house techs in the day-to-day maintenance, repair, and efficient operation of all building systems and equipment. The successful candidate for this position will gain valuable experience in the facility operation of a multi-building portfolio in Cambridge, MA.
KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
• Knowledge of basic hand tools.
• Some mechanical aptitude.
• Must have a positive attitude and be willing to assist in any engineering/maintenance task.
• Excellent interpersonal skills needed.
• Demonstrated success in contributing to a team
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Basic computer usage.
• Assist in-house technicians including but not limited to:
o Daily operations/rounds of building systems.
o Perform service calls/work orders under the supervision of a technician.
o Maintenance in mechanical rooms and rooftops.
o Assist in the replacement of filters in the HVAC equipment.
o General cleaning in mechanical spaces and perimeter induction units
o Cleanup of equipment in mechanical room and shop.
o Miscellaneous tasks requiring the use of hand tools.
o Chiller/Boiler tube punching.
