Internship Overview
This internship offers electrical engineering students hands-on experience in building systems design using BIM tools like Revit and AutoCAD. Interns will work alongside experienced engineers, gaining exposure to the full lifecycle of MEP projects—from concept through construction.
Key Learning Objectives
- Understand how an MEP consulting firm operates.
- Learn to design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and signal systems.
- Gain experience using BIM software (Revit, AutoCAD) for electrical layout and documentation.
- Participate in site visits and observe real-world installations and coordination.
Responsibilities
- Assist project teams in electrical design preparation and execution.
- Support design and administration teams with documentation and coordination.
- Attend site visits with engineers to observe field conditions and system installations.
- Contribute to administrative and operational tasks as needed.
