About Wellist:
Wellist is a mission-driven digital health company that delivers a precision resource navigation platform for employees and patients. We simplify access to employer-sponsored benefits and trusted community resources to optimize whole-person support.

Role Overview:
Wellist is seeking an experienced Interim Product Manager to drive the scoping, prioritization, and definition of key product and technical enhancements across the business. This role is a critical bridge between business needs and engineering execution as we strengthen our infrastructure, scale our offerings, and lay the foundation for future growth.

The Interim Product Manager will work directly with Wellist’s executive leadership to align priorities to business value, triage the product roadmap, codify business requirements, and translate them into actionable engineering tickets. This individual will also serve as Scrum Master, supporting a small but growing engineering team of 2 full-time engineers and 1 offshore contractor.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with executives and functional leaders to identify, prioritize, and scope high-impact product enhancements across platform features, client reporting, call center tools, and user support workflows.
  • Define, scope, and document clear, actionable business requirements and acceptance criteria.
  • Create and manage Jira tickets, ensuring a well-organized and transparent backlog.
  • Facilitate agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
  • Conduct quality control (QC) testing to validate releases and ensure they meet defined requirements.
  • Triage and adjust roadmap priorities based on evolving business needs.
  • Align stakeholders around key decisions and communicate progress consistently and transparently.
  • Support foundational technical upgrades to prepare for future scale.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in early-stage (0→1) startups
  • Strong experience prioritizing and triaging incoming product and engineering requests
  • Proven ability to work with small, resource-constrained teams and thrive in high-ambiguity environments
  • Strong technical aptitude; comfortable working closely with engineers to assess feasibility, level of effort, technical risks/scope
  • Hands-on experience creating detailed user stories, technical specifications, and acceptance criteria
  • Deep proficiency in Jira and agile/scrum methodologies
  • Deep experience with QA/UAT processes to ensure product quality
  • Highly organized, independent, and able to prioritize ruthlessly
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Mission-driven and energized by building foundational systems from the ground up

Engagement Details:

  • Contract role; 35–40 hours per week commitment
  • Initial 6-month term, with the option to extend or convert to a full-time position
  • Hourly rate commensurate with experience
