Bevi is on a mission to transform how beverages are delivered and consumed. Our connected beverage platform eliminates the need for single-use bottles and cans, making it easy, fun, and sustainable to stay hydrated. As the category leader in IoT-enabled beverage technology, we're building a future where Bevi machines are everywhere people live, work, and connect. We've raised over $160M in venture capital, serve thousands of customers across the US, Canada, UK and Ireland, and we've been rapidly growing year over year, saving over 1 billion bottles from waste. In addition to driving hypergrowth with our current product line, Bevi is heavily investing in new product development.
The Integration Engineer is the technical owner of Workato (Bevi's integration platform), all data flows between Bevi's enterprise systems, EDI connections to retail trading partners, and the master-data layer that keeps customer and account records consistent across NetSuite and Salesforce. Reliable AI agents and analytics depend on this foundation. This role designs and operates the integration fabric that links Salesforce, NetSuite, Shopify, Zendesk, Snowflake, and 15+ other enterprise systems, and designs and implements technical solutions that improve scalability, eliminate cross-system tech-debt, and enables Bevi to build AI agents on top of trustworthy data.
This is a hands-on engineering role with platform ownership, architectural authority, and program leadership scope. It is not a recipe-by-recipe ticket-taker role.
Key ResponsibilitiesIntegration Platform Ownership — Workato/iPaaS (35%)
- Own architecture, design standards, and operational health of the Workato platform
- Design and build production recipes connecting Salesforce, NetSuite, Shopify, Zendesk, Snowflake, The Well, and other systems in Bevi's enterprise stack
- Establish patterns for fault tolerance, error handling, observability, and modular recipe design
- Manage Workato environments (dev, test, prod), release process, and connector inventory
- Lead the Workato citizen-builder program: governance, design review, approval, training, and documentation for business-built recipes
Cross-System Architecture & Technical Debt (25%)
- Lead the cross-system technical-debt reduction program (Q4 priority): scope, measurement, prioritization, and execution across the integration layer
- Set integration design standards (logging, retry, idempotency, schema management) that apply across the EA team
EDI & B2B Connectivity (20%)
- Own EDI vendor evaluation and implementation (current: Staples onboarding, ANSI X12 4010, transaction sets including 810/850/856/214/997)
- Lead vendor selection between EDI-as-a-service platforms (Orderful and similar) and consultant-led builds, including 3-year TCO analysis
- Build internal capability for repeatable retail/B2B partner onboarding (Staples first; HB Mason, Amazon, OfficeMax pattern in subsequent waves)
- Own SFTP infrastructure: server administration, partner onboarding, secure file-transfer service for one-time and recurring data flows
AI-Augmented Engineering & Cross-Functional Partnership (15%)
- Use AI tools (Claude and similar) for diagnosis, recipe design, documentation, and code review
- Partner with the AI Platform Architect on agent-grade data quality and the integration patterns required for AI agents to operate reliably against enterprise data
- Partner with Domain Experts (Finance, Sales & Marketing, Operations) and Business Analysts to translate cross-system requirements into integration designs
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and root-cause analysis for integration incidents
Operations & Continuous Improvement (5%)
- Maintain documentation, runbooks, and architectural diagrams for all owned platforms and integrations
- Contribute to vendor management, license optimization, and renewal decisions for integration tooling
- Participate in EA team sprint planning, design reviews, and on-call rotation as needed
Required:
- 5+ years building and operating enterprise integrations between SaaS systems (CRM, ERP, e-commerce, support)
- Deep hands-on experience with an iPaaS platform — Workato strongly preferred; MuleSoft, Boomi, or Tray.io acceptable with willingness to ramp on Workato quickly
- Strong working knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, webhooks, OAuth, JSON/XML schema design, and event-driven architectures
- Experience designing data flows that maintain consistency across systems with different data models and update cadences
- Proficiency with at least one scripting language (Python, JavaScript, or equivalent) for transformation logic, ad-hoc tooling, and AI-augmented development
- Demonstrated ability to lead technical-debt or platform-modernization programs, including scoping, prioritization, and execution
- Strong communicator able to translate integration architecture for non-technical stakeholders and partner with citizen builders
Preferred:
- EDI experience (ANSI X12, retail trading-partner onboarding, ASN/856 and label compliance)
- Experience with master data management, golden-record design, or canonical data layer projects
- Hands-on experience with Salesforce, NetSuite, Shopify, Zendesk, or Snowflake as source/target systems
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and applied AI for integration design or troubleshooting
- Background in B2B SaaS, hardware, IoT, or beverage/food-service company environments
- Familiarity with Fivetran, dbt, or other modern data-stack tooling at the integration boundary
- Experience with Cloudflare Workflows
