TransUnion’s Insurance Solutions team partners across TransUnion to shape strategy and deliver innovative vehicle solutions for the U.S. personal lines insurance market. You’ll join a team that values collaboration, compliance, and customer-centricity, ensuring our products meet evolving market needs while staying within regulatory boundaries.
As an Insurance Product Manager, you will play a pivotal role in shaping strategy and driving execution for innovative vehicle solutions within the U.S. personal lines insurance market. This position blends strategic vision with hands-on product management, requiring close collaboration across multiple teams to deliver solutions that meet evolving customer needs.
You will manage a portfolio of products and projects, align priorities with business objectives, and maintain accountability for solution performance and impact. Leveraging both qualitative and quantitative insights, you’ll inform decisions that address complex business challenges, optimize customer experiences, and position our products for sustained success.
Responsibilities:
• Product Strategy & Roadmap: Define and maintain the TransUnion Vehicle Solutions roadmap, assess enhancement impacts, and prioritize product changes to maximize value.
• Product Health & Execution: Oversee overall product health, backlog management, coordinate with technology and operations teams, and balance post-MVP plans with customer needs. Track and measure success using established KPIs.
• Go-to-Market: Partner with market development teams to create compelling GTM materials for new products and enhancements.
• Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the SME for vehicle data solutions in the insurance market, articulate value propositions, coordinate validations and customer testing, support implementations, and maintain documentation.
• Compliance & Regulatory Alignment: Lead product change approvals with legal and compliance teams, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements and internal processes.
• Profitability & Optimization: Collaborate with sales and customers to optimize product utilization and drive profitability.
• Regulatory Engagement: Work with Departments of Insurance (DOIs) and government relations teams on rate filings and regulatory changes.
What You'll Bring:
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in business, IT, or management, plus 8+ years of product management experience within the P&C insurance industry (focus on product, pricing, or underwriting). Experience with third-party vendor solutions is a plus.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Working knowledge of insurance regulations, familiarity with SERFF, and experience with state filing processes.
- Analytical & Communication Skills: Strong analytical abilities and exceptional written/verbal communication skills to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Proven ability to work cross-functionally, apply design-thinking principles, and maintain a customer-centric mindset.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and present product-specific roadmaps and growth strategies.
- Market Awareness: Skilled in leveraging data to understand market trends and client performance; stays informed on competitive landscape.
- Technical Partnership: Experience collaborating with data science, IT, and legal teams.
Impact You'll Make:
You’ll act as the go-to expert for vehicle data solutions, applying strong product management skills to prioritize initiatives and deliver timely results. By gathering Voice of the Customer insights and collaborating with data scientists, sales teams, and vendors, you’ll enhance product performance and identify new opportunities. Your work will ensure compliance, improve profitability, and position our solutions for sustainable growth.

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.Benefits:

Pay Scale Information :The U.S. base salary range for this position is $112,500.00 - $187,500 annually. *The salary range for this position reflects a reasonable estimate of the range of compensation for this job. At TransUnion, actual compensation is based on careful consideration of additional factors such as (but not limited to) an individual’s education, training, work experience, job-related skill set, location, and industry knowledge, as well as the scope and responsibilities of the position and market considerations.Regular, fulltime non-sales positions may be eligible to participate in TransUnion’s annual bonus plan. Certain positions may be also eligible for long-term incentives and other payments based on applicable company guidance and plan documents.
