Pianists in this position accompany students, on an as needed basis, in lessons, rehearsals, studio classes, recitals, recording projects and juries. This is an at-will, part time staff position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Prepare repertoire for successful collaboration with students
• Clearly communicate availability and work with students and faculty to plan rehearsals and performances
• Reserve spaces, as needed, for rehearsals with students in preparation for upcoming performances.

Required Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong piano skills and pianistic facility
• Good sight reading skills and ability to prepare music quickly
• A desire to collaborate
• Responsive communication skills
• Highly organized and collaborative nature

Preferred Skills and Knowledge:

• Experience in the repertoire of at least one instrumental family
• Ability to be artistically responsive to the student performer
• Flexible schedule, with the ability to work on evenings and weekends
