INSIDE SALES REPRESENTATIVE - Boston, MA | Hybrid

Our inside sales team is scaling rapidly, and we need sharp, ambitious Inside Sales Representatives who want to master the entire customer lifecycle - from building pipeline, through to prospect qualification, customer success and expansion. This isn't a single-function role. Over 18 months, you'll develop expertise across Sales Development, Customer Success, and Account Management.

THE ROLE

As an Inside Sales Representative at Immersive, you'll own a book of business alongside a team of peers. You'll follow up on inbound leads, generate pipeline for yourself and our enterprise account managers, qualify inbound leads, run discovery conversations that uncover real customer pain, shepherd trials through to close, and then manage renewals and expansion with existing customers. You'll work hand-in-hand with our Solution Consultants and Enterprise Account Managers. You'll learn about our product, our market, our customers, and yourself:

YOUR FIRST 6 MONTHS

  • Learn the Immersive One platform and messaging

  • Master the tools and processes that power our sales motion

  • Build relationships across the team

  • Qualify inbound leads

  • Build a pipeline of commercial and enterprise prospects

By month six, you'll be running standard discovery conversations independently, qualifying leads with confidence, and hitting your quota for opportunities created.

6 - 18 MONTHS

  • Continue sharpening your core sales skills

  • Own a personal renewal business and capture expansion opportunities

  • Forecast accurately, understand commercial terms

  • Adapt your communication style when speaking to different customer personas—from customer champions all the way up to CISOs and budget holders.

By month 18, have a deep understanding of the entire GTM lifecycle.

As an Inside Sales Rep, your main responsibilities will include:

  • Rapidly qualifying inbound Marketing Qualified Leads using our Ideal Customer Profile, moving quality prospects through initial discovery and qualification

  • Conducting discovery conversations using structured questioning techniques to uncover customer pain points and map them to Immersive solutions

  • Coordinating with Solution Consultants to spin up trial environments and product demonstrations that show customers the real value of our platform

  • Managing a book of accounts responsibly, maintaining velocity across multiple pipelines without sacrificing quality

  • Handling customer objections confidently, using case studies and outcome data rather than getting lost in product features

  • Managing the customer lifecycle: recognizing when deals are outgrowing our standard motion, execute appropriate handoffs to our Enterprise Account Manager team, and ensure smooth transitions

  • Owning renewals to protect revenue and customer relationships

  • Uncovering and capturing expansion opportunities during renewal cycles

  • Maintaining disciplined commercial hygiene: keep CRM data clean, monitor your book health proactively, and flag early warning signs of at-risk renewals

  • Contributing to the team’s culture and success: embrace coaching, share objection-handling wins with peers, and help us continuously improve how we scale

Sounds good? We’d love to hear from you if you have proven experience in the following areas, but don’t worry if you don’t hit each one exactly:

  • You have one to three years of commercial experience across Sales Development, Customer Success Management, Account Management or similar roles.

  • You're curious about how cybersecurity teams actually work and why workforce development matters. You don't need to be a cybersecurity expert, but you want to become one.

  • You're a disciplined operator. You update your CRM without being asked. You hit your numbers because you track them obsessively. You follow playbooks until you understand why they work, and then you look for ways to improve them.

  • You thrive in a structured but fast-moving environment. You want mentorship and clear feedback, and you're genuinely coachable. You take coaching seriously and implement it immediately.

  • You're resilient. Sales is a contact sport. You hear "no" frequently, and you bounce back faster every time. You stay positive and action-oriented even when frameworks shift or territory changes midstream.

  • You want to own your career development. You see this role not just as a job but as an accelerated path to genuine expertise. You want to walk out of here materially better at your craft and genuinely employable at the next level, wherever that next level is.

Immersive’s growth has been fuelled by our values that underpin everything we do, here's how they relate to this role:

  • Flexible and remote working, so you can work when and where you work best

  • Career and learning development through the platform and our Learn Anything fund
