Your Impact

As an Industry Advisor for Electronics & High Tech, you will play a critical role in shaping how PTC positions its solutions for the industry. You will drive industry thought leadership, collaborate with sales, solutions consulting and marketing teams to develop insights-driven strategies, and engage directly with customers and partners to identify key challenges. Your expertise will help craft compelling industry narratives, ensuring PTC’s solutions align with market needs and competitive differentiators. 

Your Team

You will be part of the Portfolio & Industry Marketing team, working closely with Product Marketing, Solutions Marketing, and Growth Marketing leaders. You will also collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Solutions Consulting and Product teams to ensure go-to-market success. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct industry research and develop Go-to-Market (GTM) Playbooks to guide sales and marketing strategies. 
  • Identify key customer challenges and market trends, transforming them into industry reports and actionable initiatives. 
  • Develop industry insights reports, presentations, and talk tracks for sales enablement and executive briefings. 
  • Act as an industry thought leader, supporting analyst relations, public speaking opportunities,  and customer engagements. 
  • Collaborate with partners, GSIs, and industry associations to strengthen PTC’s positioning in Electronics & High Tech. 
  • Lead Customer Advisory Boards (CABs) and engage directly with customers to capture insights and success stories. 
  • Support PTC’s value-based selling approach, helping sales teams articulate PTC’s differentiation and business impact.
  • Engage with customers to build trust and credibility by leading with expertise, and form a deep understanding of their needs and pain points

Skills & Competencies

  • Deep understanding of Electronics & High Tech industry challenges
  • Strong expertise in market research, strategic thinking, and business storytelling. 
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences. 
  • Experience collaborating in cross-functional to drive initiatives forward. 
  • Ability to analyze competitive trends and position PTC’s solutions effectively. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in the Electronics & High Tech industry, preferably in engineering, manufacturing, or consulting. 
  • Proven ability to develop industry-specific strategies, customer insights, and GTM plans. 
  • Experience working with sales teams, product teams, and external partners to drive industry-focused marketing initiatives. 
  • Ability to translate complex technical concepts into compelling business narratives. 
  • Ability to travel 30-40%

PTC carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, which include a candidate’s background and experience, in determining salary for a position. Compensation will vary based on these factors, but PTC anticipates the salary range for this position to be between $120,000 - $150,000. The actual pay may be lower or higher depending on a candidate’s skills, qualifications, experience, and location and may also include the opportunity to earn a discretionary bonus. Additionally, every PTC employee has the opportunity to become a PTC shareholder through our employee share purchase program which allows employees to purchase discounted PTC stock and, for eligible roles, an equity grant. Subject to the terms and conditions of PTC’s benefits programs, employees may be eligible for medical, dental and vision insurance, paid time off and sick leave policies, tuition reimbursement, 401(k) contributions and employer match, flexible spending accounts, life insurance, disability coverage and a generous commuter subsidy.
