We are now looking for an


Industrial Engineer


to join our Manufacturing Solutions team in Hyvinkää.

Our team is responsible for manufacturing development and new product implementation as well as developing our operations towards industry 4.0. We work closely with global development teams and other KONE manufacturing units to develop and implement best practices for KONE manufacturing.


Industrial engineer maintains and develops production methods and runs development projects to improve production methods for better flow, productivity, safety, quality and overall performance.


In this role you will identify improvement opportunities through analyzing manufacturing data and further develop our capabilities for data-driven operations management.


Work will require knowledge/interest to growth for digitalization, manufacturing strategy and work optimization from the traditional manufacturing.


This role is located in Hyvinkää.

The key responsibilities:


  • Analyze and develop manufacturing processes to drive and follow up manufacturing targets (Safety, Delivery, Quality, Productivity, Cost) and actions on unit level.
  • Design FLOW standards by using LEAN methodology, define production methods, technology, factory layout, line level layout, material replenishment and material utilization.
  • Conduct studies to determine the most efficient sequence of operations workflow and recommends methods and technology for optimal performance.  
  • Drive digitalization in shop floor and factory processes.
  • Execute Manufacturing development and CAPEX projects in line with global manufacturing strategy and project development portfolio.
  • Support Daily Management in the factory, evaluate data, identify technical issues, drive problem solving by preparing reports and analyzing production data.

Requirements:


  • A master’s or bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a similar engineering field.
  • +5 years of previous experience as a manufacturing/development engineer or similar position.
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and LEAN manufacturing
  • Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques.
  • Ability to execute projects on time and on budget.
  • Strong project management skills are required to succeed in this role.
  • Can-do attitude and solid people communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to do problem solving, and co-creation with partners. 
  • Commitment to health and safety standards and environmental regulations
  • Software skills like: CAD, Power BI and Visual Components are an asset.
