OVERVIEW:
The Industrial Designer role will contribute to design projects, collaborating with team members and learning from experienced designers. They will assist in the creation of prototypes, support design reviews, and contribute to the development of new products.
Shark Design is a team of Industrial Designers and CMF Designers working on products across the Shark brand.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE OF INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER:

  • Assist in creating visualizations and sketches for design concepts.
  • Support the implementation of user-centered design principles.
  • Contribute ideas and concepts during brainstorming sessions.
  • Aid in the development of CAD models and renderings.
  • Assist in specifying design details for manufacturing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development.
  • Participate in design reviews and feedback sessions.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and materials.
  • Contribute to maintaining design quality standards.


ATTRIBUTES & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design or related field.
  • 3+ years of experience working as a designer in small appliances, consumer electronics, medical, or a related field
  • Proficiency in 2D software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop.
  • Proficiency with CAD - Solidworks or Rhino required
  • Proficiency with 3D rendering programs such as Keyshot.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work in a team.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop skills in Industrial Design.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment.
  • Portfolio showcasing design projects and process.
