Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into reliable automation systems.
We are seeking a motivated Automation Engineer to develop and support industrial automation solutions using Ignition SCADA and PLC technologies. The ideal candidate brings strong software development skills, a professional approach, and a willingness to deepen their Ignition expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, configure, and maintain Ignition SCADA applications, including Vision and Perspective.
- Implement reporting, alarms, SQL Bridge integrations, tag systems, and historian functionality.
- Develop scripts and web service integrations using Python and related technologies.
- Support Ignition upgrades, troubleshooting, and performance improvements.
- Develop and troubleshoot PLC programs, preferably using Rockwell Automation platforms.
- Develop and maintain .NET applications and integrations supporting automation systems.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to translate operational requirements into reliable automation solutions.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Experience in SCADA development and industrial automation.
- Experience or strong working knowledge of PLC programming; Rockwell Automation preferred.
- Strong .NET development experience.
- Ability to troubleshoot issues across automation systems and software integrations.
- Professionalism, initiative, and strong motivation to learn.
- Flexibility and willingness to build or expand Ignition expertise as required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with Ignition SCADA, including Vision, Perspective, Reporting, Alarming, SQL Bridge, tags, and historian functionality.
- Experience with Ignition upgrades, scripting, and web services.
- Strong Python programming skills.
- Knowledge of or experience with Java.
