We are seeking a versatile Human Resources Generalist to oversee daily HR operations, support employee relations, and drive key talent initiatives. In this role, you will act as a trusted advisor to staff and management, ensuring compliance with labor laws while fostering a positive, inclusive organizational culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Employee Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for employee inquiries, resolve workplace concerns, and facilitate conflict resolution.
- Onboarding & Offboarding: Manage the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires and conduct exit interviews for departing staff.
- HR Compliance: Ensure company policies align with local, state, and federal labor laws; maintain employee records and update the employee handbook.
- Benefits & Payroll Support: Administer employee benefit programs (health, retirement, paid time off) and assist with monthly payroll processing.
- Performance Management: Assist managers with annual performance reviews, feedback cycles, and performance improvement plans (PIPs).
- Recruiting Support: Partner with hiring managers to post job listings, screen candidates, and schedule interviews as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 3+ years of progressive HR experience in a generalist or specialist capacity.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Labor Law Knowledge: Deep understanding of core employment regulations (e.g., FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO).
- Technical Skills: Experience with HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, BambooHR, ADP) and applicant tracking systems (ATS).
- Soft Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, conflict-resolution, and communication skills, with a high degree of confidentiality and empathy.
Preferred Qualifications
- HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR.
- Experience scaling HR operations within a fast-growing company.
