Our Opportunity:

As a Sr Employee Relations (ER) Manager, you will be part of our new ER Center of Excellence at Chewy in Boston, MA., which provides specific expertise in the areas of employee relations and risk management for one of the fastest growing, and most dynamic companies in e-commerce today.  You will be instrumental in conducting investigations and managing complex/escalated team member issues in close partnership with our legal team.  Additionally, you will provide insight to Site and Corporate HRBP teams on employee relations matters and provide critical input into the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies across Chewy.  You must have a deep expertise in employee relations, be able to provide a customer first approach to your work and be able to balance a fast-paced

What You'll Do:

  • Investigate complex and escalated team member concerns that could implicate significant legal, regulatory, financial, or other risks and provide on appropriate course of action depending on outcome of investigations
  • Provide critical input to the formation, consistent application, and revision of policies across the Company as we continue to scale
  • Provide trend data and actionable feedback to legal, HRBP teams, and senior leaders to reduce overall risk in the organization

What You'll Need:                                                                                                                                                                                             

  • Degree in Human Resources, Employee Relations, or Employment Law
  • 7+ years of progressive investigatory or employee relations experience
  • Familiarity with federal and state employment laws, and standard methodologies in conducting workplace investigation
  • Experience working with HR Information Systems (Workday, Service Now, etc.) and case management software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and intuitive sense of business acumen
  • Ability to execute tasks with attention to detail, reliability, and a relatively quick pace
  • Ability to interface and partner with HR and non-HR stakeholders to achieve results
  • Position may require travel
