Be part of our mission to disrupt the healthcare and democratize the data driven medicine! SOPHiA GENETICS is looking for a Senior HR Business Partner to join our People Management team in Boston, USA.

As a Senior HR Business Partner you work closely with the organization’s Leaders in NORAM and LATAM to develop and implement HR initiatives to support our organizational goals. Reporting remotely to the Senior Director, People Management, you will successfully balance employee needs with business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • Enable business growth
    • Serve as a trusted HR Business Partner to the Managers in the region.
    • Consult and accompany the NORAM/LATAM business leaders in their HR decisions and provide support in the development of their teams.
    • Support the development and drive achievement of HR objectives and initiatives for the NORAM and LATAM region, in line with business needs and priorities.
    • Resolve complex employee relation issues and provide guidance on corrective actions and conflict management.
    • Partner with other corporate departments to work on transversal topics and projects. (e.g., Legal, Finance, compliance)
  • Enhance HR capabilities
    • Responsible for effective delivery of HR activities and implementation of global HR initiatives in the region.
    • Partner closely with the HR teams based in other regions to ensure global alignment.
    • Create, review and update policies in compliance with local legislation.
    • Identify opportunities for process / system improvements and implement initiatives.
    • Contribute to and/or lead specific HR projects.
    • Together with the HR Business Partner in charge of all HR activities in the region: payroll and HR administration, organizational development, talent management, career development, performance management.
    • Ensure employment policies and practices comply with relevant employment regulations.
  • Sustain employee engagement & performance
    • Partner with business leaders to create and foster positive and engaging company culture.
    • Act as a role model by embodying the spirit and values of the company.
    • Drive the deployment of the employee engagement action plan.

Requirements

  • Universitiy Degree in Human Resources, Law or Business Administration.
  • Min. 5 years of experience in in similar role in global company.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices in US; Latin America and Canada a plus.
  • Comfortable working autonomously but also in a team.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • English and Portuguese (preferred)
  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills.
  • Self-starter, resilient.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience providing HR support for a dynamic, fast-moving organization.
  • Have a proven hands-on, positive attitude, be flexible and adaptable.
  • Team player and Customer oriented.
