Most of our candidates do not benefit from a college degree or years of professional experience, which is why we provide value-add services such as interview coaching and resume reviews. What role does the Recruiter play?

We believe recruiting is a team sport, and as such, we have designed this role to fit in our overall team structure. As a Recruiter at Percy, you will NOT be responsible for business development or candidate sourcing, which means no cold calling and no cold emailing.

Percy’s Recruiters work to build relationships with candidates and support their overall hiring journey. In this role, you will have the opportunity to guide candidates toward well-matched roles and coach them through the interview process.

A typical growth path involves first mastering the core recruiting skills and then developing team leadership and account management skills through gradual exposure and coaching. With time and development, you will have the opportunity to grow into the Account Manager / Lead Recruiter role if you so choose. 


The smaller nature of our team also provides ample opportunity to contribute more broadly. If you are curious about marketing, people operations, or other functions outside of recruiting, this position will provide you the opportunity to “dip your toe” into those functional areas through small projects and structured support. As such, the Recruiter position can serve as an on-ramp to other career paths at Percy.

What’s the vibe like in the office?

We're a hard working bunch, but everyone likes to have fun. Our team balances a goofy, "laid back" vibe with an ambitious desire to grow the business. I really feel at home coming to work every day.

What does your typical day look like?

As a Senior Associate on our recruiting team, I spend most of my day interacting with candidates and working to refine the overall recruiting strategy for the account I am focused on. My role gives strikes a nice balance between autonomy and collaboration.

I've had the opportunity to grow into new roles as our company has evolved. I began in a sales role and transitioned to recruiting. More recently, I've become an Account Manager, which allows me to flex my client-facing skills while leading a small team.

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

As a an active board member and investor in Percy, my goal is to help grow our organization into a large and world-class recruiting firm. I enjoy mentoring Percy team members and contributing to strategic-level decision making. I happily avail my time and energy in whatever way the team would like to make use of it - and I love doing it!
