Job Description
Reports to VP Finance
Dynatrace is seeking a proven and dynamic leader to serve as a Global Director of Variable compensation based in Waltham, MA. A successful candidate will have a long-standing technical expertise in compensation processes and accounting as well as a demonstrable track record of scaling a global team in a high-growth environment. In addition, a successful candidate will not only bring vision to the table but a high level of ability to execute on this vision. We seek an individual with a high level of business acumen who can operationalize their technical expertise and partner with the Sales Operations and others team to develop an efficient and scalable variable compensation process from plan design to monthly payments in over 32 countries for 300+ professionals, and implement policies, procedures and controls in a public company environment while supporting global best practices.
Background
- Experience working for a publicly-traded company
- Technical expertise in relevant US GAAP as well as internal controls
- Strong variable compensation expertise as well as international business acumen
- Demonstrable experience in project management, timeline development and achievement
- Must have exceptional organization, presentation and communication skills
Job Responsibilities
- Global finance ownership of a team of dedicated compensation experts around the globe that will ensure 100% timely and accurate payments of all variable compensations monthly / quarterly & annually
- Global ownership of the ASC 606 related deferred commission balances and accounting along with \internal / external reporting requirements.
- Development and own monthly management reporting of amounts with insights into efficacy of plans and outcomes
- Ownership of all SOX controls related to variable compensation
- Growth of the compensation team within Finance
- Participate in evaluation of current processes, accounting, systems and procedures to identify opportunities for efficiency and transformation
- Provide detailed support to Senior management in Finance, Sales & Sales Operations
Qualifications
- Experience in environments with high transaction volume required, preferably with experience building/scaling a high growth organization.
- Must be a highly-motivated individual with the ability to engage others
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Must have strong capability for discussions and interactions with the Company's senior management
- Minimum of 15 years overall experience, with prior experience in a public company with multiple, complex compensation plans
- Experience with Varicent & Salesforce.com is desirable
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; must be comfortable connecting with and communicating with individuals at all levels of an organization.
- Strong knowledge of Sarbanes-Oxley requirements, including the ability to assess, develop and implement internal controls
- Minimal travel expected
- Location - Waltham, MA
