Compensation Manager

The Opportunity:
We are looking for a Compensation Manager that will establish best practices, attract high-quality employees and reduce turnover.
Compensation Manager partner with our Benefits team to design appealing rewards and tailoring benefit programs based on staff needs. To be successful in this role, you should have a good knowledge of labor laws and be familiar with organizational design and an understanding of benefits.
Ultimately, you will build fair and attractive compensation plans that help us improve employee satisfaction and create a productive workplace.
Reports to our Sr Director, HX
Responsibilities
- Design compensation packages and bonus programs that align with the company's strategic plan
- Ensure salaries and total rewards packages comply with the current legislation about human rights and pay equity
- Implement and manage our pay equity technology and internal equity program
- Identify trends and implement new practices to engage and motivate employees
- Conduct research on employee satisfaction (e.g. using surveys and quantitative data)
- Renew our compensation plans with monetary and non-monetary benefits based on employee needs
- Keep track of prevailing pay rates and make sure we offer competitive compensation plans
- Support the creation of job descriptions, own and manage all job analyses and classifications
- Structure compensation in ways that will yield the highest value for the organization
- Track compensation and benefits benchmarking data in partnership with the benefits team.
Requirements
- 5+ Experience in a Compensation focused role or similar role at a high grown organization
- Hands-on experience with HRIS or payroll software is a plus
- Knowledge of building compensation packages and bonus programs for various departments and seniority levels
- Experience with job evaluation and job analysis systems
- Strong analytical skills
- Familiarity with labor legislation (bonus for international experience)
- Experience with employee satisfaction surveys
- Certification in compensation planning is strongly preferred
- Experience with stock equity programs is a bonus
- BSc in Human Resources Management, Finance or relevant field is preferred
