Benefits Analyst
As the HR Benefits Analyst you will be responsible for activities related to the Human Resources benefits functions. You will serve as a subject matter expert in the benefits area by providing overall administration and establishment of processes. You will oversee the benefits program, evaluate market competitiveness and manage the enrollment process.
Responsibilities:
Benefits Administration
- Support benefit strategy, planning and renewals
- Develop, implement, administer and audit benefits policies and programs
- Develop and participate in benefit surveys to analyze company’s market competitiveness
- Analyze trends and metrics regarding solutions, programs and policies, and make recommendations on total rewards
- Deliver presentations to introduce benefits program updates to managers and employees
- Consult with HR Business Partners and managers regarding leave administration to ensure consistent practices
- Administer and communicate the company’s benefits open enrollment including program plan options, features and enrollment requirements, and assist employees with benefit claim administration inquiries
- Develop, implement and communicate a Wellness Program for all employees
- Lead employee benefit programs including but not limited to health insurance, pre-tax programs, long & short-term disability insurance, FMLA, leave administration and other programs
- Serve as 401k Administrator
- Interface with vendor and benefits broker
- Oversee open enrollment on the Human Capital Management system and implement file feeds using the systems
- Ensure company compliance with federal and state laws governing both benefits practices; author company policies, guidance and interpretation related to benefits
Skills and Requirements:
- 2-5 years of experience in benefits administration
- Strong communication skills; able to respond and exchange ideas clearly and effectively through writing, speaking, and presentations; shares appropriate information to keep people informed
- Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills
- Strong analytical skills; ability to work with large sets of data
- Understanding of HR processes, data and HR technology
- Strong project management skills, ability to manage projects and shifting priorities
- Ability to effectively communicate (oral and written) to all levels in the organization
- Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Education:
- Bachelors or equivalent
