About Invoca:
Invoca leads the revenue execution platform market by using AI to link online marketing with offline sales teams and optimize every stage of the buying journey. With over 300 employees, 2,000+ customers, and $100 million in revenue, there are tremendous opportunities to continue growing the business. We are building a world-class SaaS company and have raised over $184 million from leading venture capitalists, including Upfront Ventures, Accel, Silver Lake Waterman, H.I.G. Growth Partners, and Salesforce Ventures.
About the Team:
At Invoca, the People Team's mission is to architect a high-performance organization by ensuring the right talent is in the right seats, focused on the right priorities. We believe the greatest gift we can give an employee is a high-performing teammate, a clear goal, and a company that wins. We aren't process-keepers or paper-pushers; we drive revenue by ensuring our human capital is the company’s greatest competitive advantage. We know that when our people are enabled and aligned, the business accelerates. When Invoca hits its financial targets, our people thrive. Our job is to make that happen.
About the Role:
As the HRBP for Product and Engineering, you will be the primary thought partner to our CTO and SVP, Product. You won't just "handle HR requests”, you will sit at the intersection of talent strategy and technical execution. You will ensure our engineering pods are structured for velocity, our product leaders are coached for high-stakes decision-making, and our talent bar remains high as we launch new AI products.
In this role you will have the opportunity to tackle a variety of complex problems. On a Tuesday, you might spend the morning coaching a Director on a difficult performance conversation, the afternoon helping the CTO re-org an engineering pod to hit a Q3 shipping goal, and the evening analyzing whether our senior engineer compensation is keeping us competitive against the market.
You Will:
- Act as strategic thought partner to Product and Engineering leadership, leveraging business acumen to enable high-performing teams that maximize the delivery of high-impact, innovative products.
- Participate in technical leadership meetings to ensure talent strategy is proactively aligned with the product roadmap.
- Analyze data trends (attrition, hiring velocity, talent density) to provide leaders with "early warning" insights and actionable solutions.
- Lead talent reviews and cross-functional calibrations that go beyond rankings; facilitate deep discussions on talent density to ensure every team has the high-performers needed to win.
- Coach managers on delivering radical candor and high-impact feedback, ensuring underperformance is addressed with urgency and top talent is aggressively challenged and rewarded.
- Help leaders "bring people along" with clear communication plans, ensuring technical teams understand the business context and the "why" behind strategic shifts.
- Be the "pulse" of the technical org, identifying friction points in the employee experience and building "scrappy" programs to keep the ship rising.
- Navigate complex personnel situations with judgment and discretion, prioritizing the health of the organization, the team, and the mission.
You Have:
- 5+ years progressive HR/People experience in the software development industry
- 1+ years of experience serving as an HR Business Partner, ideally supporting Product and Engineering teams
- Experience at a venture-backed startup with under 800 employees
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience partnering with strategic talent partners and interviewing candidates
- Strong judgment skills and proven ability to “influence without authority”
- Superb written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of core HR fundamentals such as internal investigations, compensation levels/bands, performance reviews, engagement, etc.
- AI fluency - demonstrated experience leveraging AI to automate workflows and boost efficiency
- Bonus points: Experience driving productivity and change management in a fully remote environment
