Job Description

Fidelity Digital Assets® is seeking a Vice President of Sales to achieve bold business growth goals in onboarding both existing Fidelity and new institutional clients to our Enterprise-grade custody and execution services offerings. The position will report into the Global Head of Business Development.

As a member of the business development leadership team, you will contribute to the strategic vision and direction of our growth, collaborate with business partners in Fidelity Digital Assets® , and contribute as a positive and active leader. You will own the sales outcomes, targets and KPIs. To achieve this, you will expand our client footprint within the US with accountability of filling both near and longer-term pipeline, onboarding, and funding new clients. You will be responsible for the US sales team inclusive of hiring, training, coaching, managing and leading. You will ensure that the team is focused on driving revenue growth with clients that match FDA’s values.

As a Vice President of Sales at Fidelity Digital Assets®, you will interface daily with internal & external stakeholders. You will help identify, develop, and execute strategies that create deep and lasting relationships, focused on the growing demand for digital assets among all types of institutional clients.

The Fidelity Digital Assets® Sales team is centrally responsible for growing our institutional client base. The sales team is an essential representation of the Fidelity Digital Assets brand to the external market as well as providers of prospective client feedback to internal stakeholders. Members of our team are seasoned sales professionals with a combination of deep TradFi and DeFi experience. They own the sales outcomes and seek to outperform revenue targets by positioning our offering to the marketplace. The Global Sales team works collaboratively with each other as well as with our business partners across both Fidelity Digital Assets® and Fidelity Investments®.

The Expertise & Skills You Bring

  • Proven professional success in building and leading an institutional sales team in relationship-based sales at a bank, broker-dealer or other financial or digital asset institution with a preference for technology-led services (e.g. prime brokerage, custody/clearing, electronic trading sales).
  • Understanding of the digital asset eco-system required with direct digital assets sales experience preferred.
  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant financial services experience.
  • Directly working on & leading sales staff in identifying potential opportunities, prioritization of prospective clients, pipeline development, financial assessment, transaction structuring, and implementation.
  • Demonstrable understanding of institutional investors and intermediaries, [SW1] [AC2] [AC3] [4] including RIAs, SFOs/MFOs, asset managers, hedge funds, market-makers, brokers, corporate treasurers, and banks.
  • Understanding of technology, market and ecosystem as it relates to cryptocurrencies, Blockchain and initial coin offerings (ICOs), electronic execution, institutional custody, across various client segments within the US.
  • Ability to create, implement and influence clear sales plans across a diverse region with multiple client segments, dynamic regulatory environment with changing competitor base.
  • Comfort with the sales toolkit, including experience with CRM systems, including Salesforce and development of sales materials.
  • Clear communicator who brings a professional presence to internal and external engagements.
  • Establishing and executing on a clear actionable sales plan.
  • Delivering sales management excellence, developing sales capabilities through dedicated mentoring and coaching.
  • Exceeding sales revenue and client acquisition targets.
  • Building close, appropriate partnerships across the blockchain ecosystem, representing Fidelity’s interests and objectives.
  • Developing go- to- market strategies per segment & region and leading internally to develop and maintain channels for sales.
  • Representing the digital asset eco-system & customer voice with internal business partners both within FDA as well as across broader Fidelity to ensure strong firm-wide cross-sales collaboration.
  • Representing FDA interests at industry conferences and trade shows, including public speaking at events.
  • Leading and contributing to a climate that values and rewards contributions, drive, initiative, and achievement of results.

The Team

Fidelity Digital Assets® is a subsidiary of Fidelity Investments® and operates as a separate business dedicated to digital assets. Our team combines the operational and technical experience that institutions and investors have grown to expect from a Fidelity business to deliver a completely new offering for this asset class. We are dedicated to building products and services that help institutions adopt digital assets and innovate within the increasingly digital world of finance.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.

The base salary range for this position is $124,000 - $180,000 per year.  

Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.

Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
