The Position

At Roche, our 10-year Pharma vision is all about delivering more benefits to patients. A crucial part of this is building new and innovative data analytics solutions for our scientists in Pharma Technical Operations (PT). To make this happen, we've created the PT Digital and Operational Excellence (PTE) organization, focused on digitally transforming and optimizing our operations to become a lean organization. PTE is the team that drives the global development and execution of PT’s Digital and Operational Excellence strategy. We're building a strong, inclusive community, putting the power of data directly into the hands of our people, and scaling up our Digital and Advanced Analytics solutions for the benefit of our colleagues and patients. Our goal is to cultivate a digital mindset, revolutionize our FAIR data ecosystem, and generate transformative insights.

We're looking for a Head of PT Data Products to play a critical role within the One PT Data Office. This role is central to putting the power of data directly into the hands of our scientists and colleagues, accelerating data-driven decisions, and enabling advanced analytics and AI use cases across PT. You will lead the strategic implementation and lifecycle management of these critical data products, bridging the gap between data strategy and tangible business value.

The Opportunity
  • Provide strategic leadership for the entire lifecycle of data products within PT, ensuring alignment with PT's digital strategy and Roche's overall data ambitions.

  • Develop, champion, and execute a comprehensive data product roadmap, identifying high-impact opportunities in close partnership with business stakeholders.

  • Lead, mentor, and empower a high-performing team of Data Product Owners and Data Site Operation Leads, fostering a collaborative, agile, and results-oriented environment.

  • Oversee the end-to-end implementation and successful delivery of data products, from conceptualization and design to deployment, adoption, and continuous improvement.

  • Build and maintain strong strategic relationships with key senior stakeholders across PT, global functions, and IT, ensuring alignment and strong partnership.

  • Define, track, and report on the tangible business value, ROI, and adoption metrics of data products to senior leadership.

  • Drive the adoption and utilization of data products across PT functions by developing strategies for user engagement, training, and feedback loops.

Who You Are
  • You have 10+ years of progressive experience in data product management or data strategy, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role building and leading teams of product owners.

  • You possess expert-level knowledge of data product lifecycle management, agile methodologies (Scrum, SAFe), and product ownership best practices.

  • You have a demonstrated track record of driving the implementation and adoption of data products that deliver measurable business value, ideally within a manufacturing or technical operations context.

  • You have exceptional strategic thinking, communication, and storytelling skills, capable of translating complex business challenges into data product opportunities.

  • You have a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry, including regulatory requirements such as GxP environments and data integrity.

Ready for the next step? We look forward to hearing from you. Apply now to discover this exciting opportunity!
