Position Summary

The Head of Partnerships is responsible for developing and executing Inovalon's enterprise partnership strategy to accelerate revenue growth, expand market reach, and strengthen the company's competitive position. This executive leader will identify, negotiate, and manage strategic alliances with technology companies, cloud providers, consulting firms, healthcare organizations, system integrators, channel partners, and emerging digital health innovators.

The successful candidate combines strategic thinking with commercial execution, building mutually beneficial relationships that create measurable business impact. This role requires close collaboration with Sales, Product, Marketing, Corporate Development, Legal, and Executive Leadership to develop scalable partnership programs that support Inovalon's long-term growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Partnership Strategy

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive enterprise partnership strategy aligned with corporate growth priorities.

  • Identify new partnership opportunities across healthcare, technology, AI, analytics, cloud infrastructure, payer, provider, pharmacy, and life sciences markets.

  • Evaluate strategic alliances that enhance product offerings, expand distribution channels, or create new revenue streams.

  • Build a multi-year partnership roadmap supporting company objectives.

Business Development

  • Source, evaluate, negotiate, and execute strategic partnership agreements.

  • Lead executive-level negotiations involving commercial, technology, and go-to-market partnerships.

  • Develop business cases and financial models supporting investment decisions.

  • Identify opportunities for co-selling, co-marketing, product integration, and joint solution development.

Alliance Management

  • Establish executive relationships with key strategic partners.

  • Create governance frameworks, joint business plans, and success metrics.

  • Monitor partner performance against agreed objectives.

  • Resolve commercial or operational issues while strengthening long-term relationships.

 
 

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify integration opportunities and customer needs.

  • Partner with Sales leadership to enable joint selling initiatives and pipeline development.

  • Work closely with Marketing on partner campaigns, events, thought leadership, and market positioning.

  • Coordinate with Legal and Compliance to structure partnership agreements within regulatory requirements.

  • Align with Finance on business performance, forecasting, and investment priorities.

Market Intelligence

  • Monitor healthcare technology trends, competitive partnerships, regulatory changes, and emerging ecosystem opportunities.

  • Identify new business models enabled by AI, interoperability, value-based care, and healthcare data exchange.

  • Represent Inovalon at industry conferences, executive forums, and customer events.

Performance Management

  • Define partnership KPIs and executive dashboards.

  • Measure partner-generated pipeline, revenue contribution, customer acquisition, solution adoption, and strategic impact.

  • Continuously optimize the partnership portfolio to maximize business value.

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • 12+ years of progressive experience in strategic partnerships, business development, alliances, or corporate strategy.

  • 5+ years leading high-performing partnership or alliance teams.

  • Experience within healthcare technology, health IT, healthcare analytics, SaaS, or enterprise software.

  • Demonstrated success negotiating complex, high-value strategic partnerships.

  • Strong executive presence with experience influencing C-suite stakeholders.

  • Excellent commercial, financial, negotiation, and communication skills.

Preferred

  • MBA or advanced business degree.

  • Experience working with health plans, provider organizations, pharmacy organizations, or life sciences companies.

  • Knowledge of value-based care, interoperability standards, healthcare data exchange, AI, and cloud technologies.

  • Experience managing relationships with major technology ecosystem partners and consulting organizations.
