The Team
Shared Services & Enablement Operations was established to drive alignment and effectiveness of non-production functions that support advisors, field partners, customers, and service associates-enhancing the overall performance of the Operations organization.
You and your peers make up a high performing team of project delivery leaders and associates inclusive of Project Managers, Product Owners, Readiness resources, and Portfolio Management experts. This collaborative team is driving significant transformational efforts across and beyond Operations.
The Impact:
The Head of Operations Project Management Office (OPMO) will:
  • Oversee and maintain the OPMO, ensuring projects support the organization's strategic goals through consistent and high-quality execution.
  • Lead and mentor a centralized team of project management managers and associates, including onshore and offshore resources and vendors.
  • Translate prioritized work into executable delivery plans, ensuring clear sequencing, coordination and accountability.
  • Partner with Operations leadership, external partners, and cross-functional departments to prioritize initiatives, align project requirements, and support strategic execution.
  • Conduct strategic reviews of project plans, particularly for high-complexity projects and key lifecycle tollgates.
  • Manage KPIs and performance metrics to monitor delivery, identify improvement opportunities, drive accountability, and ensure projected ROI is met or exceeded.
  • Proactively identify delivery risks and execution gaps, mobilizing teams to resolve or escalate as needed.
  • Oversee and balance project delivery resource allocation across programs, projects, and business priorities.
  • Ensure consistent use of delivery standards, methodologies, and artifacts, including stage gates, status reporting and risk/issue management.
  • Drive continuous improvement through lessons learned, delivery insights and evolving best practices.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external business and technology partners, serving as a liaison to senior leadership and supporting escalations as needed.
  • Maintain strong relationships with peer groups: Product Owner, Portfolio Management, Project Readiness, and other Project Management leaders to improve delivery and execution through shared best practices and aligned workflows.
  • Build a project delivery career path that includes entry-level roles, onshore and offshore resources, and vendor partners.
  • Identify competency gaps and develop training programs, tools, and structures that build functional expertise and support enterprise enablement.
  • Coach teams on project delivery methodologies to strengthen measurement, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Mobilize the organization to implement initiatives, manage changing priorities, and coordinate effectively between project managers and readiness consultants.

The Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 10+ years of experience within Project/Program Management with 3+ years leading large teams.
  • Experience leading ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives from problem definition through implementation, including influencing senior stakeholders without direct authority
  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and influence outcomes
  • Drives continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Build support and momentum to move ideas through implementation
  • Experience creating a dynamic operating environment where people are inspired, encouraged, and motivated to succeed together
  • Proven impact as a thought leader, strategic thinker and problem solver.
  • Experience applying project and change management methodologies, including governance, stage gates, risk and issue management, stakeholder readiness, and adoption planning.
  • Proficiency with project management software, including Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, and Jira, and dashboarding or visualization tools such as MicroStrategy, Tableau, or Power BI

The Ideal Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of experience leading and managing large-scale, cross-functional projects within wealth management and/or insurance industries
  • Project Management Professional certification or equivalent
  • Agile and Waterfall project management experience

Salary Range: $176,400-$231,500
