About Marchay

Marchay is a curated, membership-based travel service and community for some of the world’s most sophisticated travelers. Recognized by leading publications as a premier luxury travel service, Marchay provides a complete, high-touch solution for managing members’ high-end travel needs. A key benefit of membership is dedicated, unbiased service from a highly experienced travel team. Marchay offers unlimited, bespoke trip planning and execution, access to pre-vetted private homes and villas, and preferred partner benefits at over 1,200 luxury hotels worldwide.

Overview

Marchay is looking for a highly creative, culturally aware, and entrepreneurial content leader to help establish our brand as one of the most trusted and aspirational voices in luxury travel.

This is not a traditional social media management role.

We are looking for someone who brings original ideas, editorial instincts, and a strong point of view — someone who can independently identify compelling stories, trends, destinations, people, and moments that position Marchay at the center of the luxury travel conversation.

The ideal candidate thinks like a creator, strategist, editor, and brand builder all at once. They understand how to build audience trust and engagement through meaningful storytelling rather than transactional content.

You should be excited to create content that feels elevated, intelligent, insider-driven, and culturally relevant — leveraging the extraordinary depth of expertise and access within the Marchay network.

We are especially inspired by creators and travel storytellers who have built distinctive voices and communities through thoughtful, high-quality content and editorial leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and lead Marchay’s content vision across social, editorial, video, email, and emerging platforms
  • Independently generate creative concepts, campaigns, and storytelling opportunities
  • Transform insider travel knowledge and member experiences into compelling, high-value content
  • Establish Marchay as a leading voice in luxury travel and lifestyle
  • Create content strategies that drive audience growth, engagement, brand awareness, and community trust
  • Identify cultural, travel, hospitality, and luxury trends before they become mainstream
  • Produce or oversee the creation of short-form video, social storytelling, editorial features, interviews, destination guides, and thought leadership content
  • Collaborate closely with founders, advisors, members, and travel partners to uncover unique stories and perspectives
  • Build a recognizable and differentiated brand voice
  • Analyze performance metrics and continuously evolve content strategy based on audience behavior and engagement
  • Experiment with new content formats, channels, and creative approaches

Requirements

Who you are:

  • This role is fully remote, but you are based in the U.S. and willing to work Eastern Standard Time (9am-6pm)
  • Bachelor's degree is required
  • A deeply creative storyteller with strong editorial instincts
  • Equal parts strategist, creator, and entrepreneur
  • Someone who naturally generates ideas rather than waiting for direction
  • Obsessed with travel, culture, hospitality, luxury, and digital media trends
  • Experienced in building or growing brands, communities, or audiences through content
  • Comfortable being both visionary and hands-on
  • Strong understanding of Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, newsletters, and evolving digital platforms
  • Able to identify what makes content feel premium, differentiated, and emotionally engaging
  • Passionate about creating content with depth, not just aesthetics
  • Highly collaborative but self-directed
  • Extensive experience creating travel-focused content, whether through travel writing, blogging, journalism, or building an engaged personal audience and brand across social media platforms, particularly within the luxury travel, hospitality, or lifestyle space.

The ideal candidate has:

  • Experience growing a personal brand, media brand, publication, or luxury/travel-focused social presence
  • Portfolio demonstrating strong storytelling and creative direction
  • Experience creating viral, highly engaging, or culturally relevant content
  • Background in luxury travel, hospitality, lifestyle, media, journalism, or creator-led brands preferred
  • Strong visual and copywriting sensibility
  • Experience working with founders or premium/luxury brands is a plus

Benefits
  • Competitive Compensation: Annual salary with a performance-based, discretionary bonus
  • Comprehensive Benefits: Fully covered medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • 401(k) Plan: Access to our retirement savings program
  • Generous Time Off: Ample PTO plus company holidays to recharge and reset
  • Career Growth: Opportunity to develop toward a senior leadership role, with increasing ownership and strategic decision-making over time.
  • Flexibility: Remote work environment with the ability to manage your schedule effectively
  • Innovative Market Leader: Join a forward-thinking company with a proven track record, backed by the influence, resources, and stability to keep breaking new ground
