- Lead the team responsible for ensuring effective controls related to the securities operational accounting, including execution of daily and monthly reconciliations, analysis of data exceptions, and support of system upgrades
- Maintaining control processes and assess improvements by evaluating the end to end impacts to operational securities accounting
- Partner with teams, including but not limited to Securities Controllership. Investment Operations, Treasury, Financial Reporting and ERM
- Ensure the integrity of investment income reporting across periods while owning the calculation and recording of known P&L exposures
- Maintain workflows and operational securities accounting controls
- Partner with stakeholders to meet client needs
- Oversee the effectiveness of the broader control environment for the insurance company GIA
- Oversight of external audits on behalf of Investment Controllership
- Oversight of UAT testing on key external vendor system upgrades

The Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive accounting, investment accounting, investment controllership, or financial reporting experience within insurance, asset management, banking, or financial services.
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. GAAP investment accounting and financial reporting.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and enhancing internal controls, governance frameworks, and operational accounting processes in a highly regulated environment.
- Direct experience supporting a large and complex investment portfolio, including partnership with Investment Operations and other front-to-back investment functions.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or related discipline
