Role Description:

The Head of Integration Management Office (IMO) will report directly to the Chief Transformation Officer and will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of integration planning and execution for mergers and acquisitions (M&A) at Zayo. This role demands a strategic leader with a deep understanding of Zayo’s core businesses and a proven track record in strategic planning, project management, and program development. The IMO Lead will ensure seamless integration processes, mitigate risks, and drive the overall success of M&A activities.  The Head of IMO position sits as a pillar within the Transformation Office, working closely with the other segments on the team - Change Management, Program Management, Process Improvement, Transformation as a Service and Business Relationship Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Leadership and Planning:

    • Drive the deal strategy and track and monitor overall integration efforts across the organization.

    • Lead the establishment of the integration program.

    • Establish program governance, infrastructure, and milestones.

    • Support planning efforts to action strategic initiatives.

  • Integration Management:

    • Manage integration planning, including integration execution, risk/issue management, etc.

    • Conduct cross-functional alignment between strategic initiatives and functional teams.

    • Provide program management structure for IMO and functional due diligence activities.

    • Execute on the integration plan within a defined timeframe, budget, and scope.

  • Risk Management and Issue Resolution:

    • Identify program risks and connect relevant parties to resolve issues.

    • Lead the due diligence assessment of target companies to identify risks/gaps and opportunities.

    • Escalate risks and issues proactively and communicate with all functions/business units.

  • Cross-Functional Coordination:

    • Ensure high levels of cross-functional coordination across integration and functional teams.

    • Connect functional teams to coordinate inter-dependencies.

    • Serve as the primary link between IMO and integration/transaction teams and processes.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Manage the stakeholder and client experience throughout the integration process, including senior stakeholders at the executive and board level/s.

    • Partner with the internal communications team to ensure alignment between internal communications, overall deal strategy, and program execution.

    • Measure results, assign owners, and hold functions accountable for quantifiable and timely results.

  • Operational Execution:

    • Determine Day 1 and post-Day 1+ critical processes including support model for Day 1.

    • Support identifying cross-functional interdependencies.

    • Lead the execution of the weekly governance processes.

Qualifications:

  • 12+ years of business experience, with significant portion of that leading large, cross-functional Integration Management Offices (IMO) and/or Program Management Offices (PMO).  

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Development, or a related field.

  • Experience in telecom or fiber sub-sectors preferred.

  • Strong knowledge of Zayo’s core businesses.

  • Proven ability to build consensus and clear roadblocks.

  • Demonstrated ability to identify program risks and connect relevant parties to resolve issues.

  • Possesses strong project management and program development skills.

  • Ability to work well under pressure, solutions-oriented, and demonstrates flexibility and adaptability to changing or ambiguous situations.

  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to partner across multiple teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Business, Organizational Development or related field.

  • Prior experience with M&A and/or integrations.

  • Experience in leading integration management within a global organization.

  • Proven ability to build and develop high-performing integration management teams.

  • Telecommunication background and operational leadership experience a plus.

Estimated Base Salary Range: $200,000 - $230,000 USD/annually.

The base pay range shown is a guideline and reasonable estimate for this role. It takes into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Actual compensation offered may vary from the posted range based upon geographic location, work experience, skill level, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Non- sales roles may be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive plan. Sales roles may be eligible to participate in a sales incentive plan.

Additionally, this position may be eligible for certain benefits, such as health insurance, life insurance, disability retirement plans, paid time off.

The posting will be active for a minimum of 3 days. The active posting will continue to extend by 3 days until the position is filled.
