About This Role
 

As the Head of Culture and Inclusion, you will be at the forefront of shaping and nurturing a workplace environment that thrives on inclusion. Joining the talent and organizational performance leadership team, you will have the exciting opportunity to collaborate with senior leadership and HR to infuse the New Biogen Way into our culture. Your mission will be to catalyze a high performing culture of inclusion and belonging that resonates throughout the company. By promoting employee engagement and leveraging your leadership expertise, you'll contribute to driving Biogen's organizational performance to new heights.

This role may be based in Cambridge, MA or RTP, NC location
 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement innovative strategies that promote a high performing and inclusive company culture.

  • Collaborate with HR Centers of Excellence to integrate the principles of the New Biogen Way and inclusion into all people processes.

  • Oversee the management of Employee Resource Groups, aligning their objectives with Biogen's goals while fostering intersectionality.

  • Engage with inclusion councils across functions and regions to synchronize and propel their initiatives forward.

  • Build Biogen’s external brand presence through strategic community partnerships and professional networking opportunities.

  • Work with the People Analytics team to identify and address differences in the sense of belonging among the employee population.

  • Facilitate employee listening sessions to encourage open dialogue, learning, and the development of a more inclusive work environment.

  • Identify and act on feedback to continuously improve our cultural and inclusion practices.

Who You Are
You have a deep-seated passion for cultivating workplace cultures where everyone feels they truly belong. Your extensive experience in HR and leading inclusion initiatives equips you with the insight to foster an environment of engagement and respect. You understand that global thinking and cultural sensitivity are keys to success within an international company like ours. You are a collaborative individual, adept at forming relationships that transcend organizational levels. As a champion of change, you're comfortable guiding others, whether directly or indirectly, and your communication skills shine in every interaction, especially when navigating complex situations.
 

Required Skills

  • A minimum of 12 years in HR Business Partner roles or leadership experience in employee resource groups or inclusion teams.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.

  • Systematic and global thinking capabilities, with a keen understanding of cultural nuances and operational effectiveness across different regions.

  • Proven ability to establish collaborative relationships, listen actively, and value the contributions of others.

  • Demonstrated skill in indirect leadership, coaching, and influencing without authority.

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to remain composed and persuasive in challenging situations, tailoring communication to suit various scenarios.

  • Strong background in performance management, coaching, and driving organizational change.

Additional Information

The base compensation range for this role is: $176,000.00-$242,000.00


Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Regular employees are eligible to receive both short term and long-term incentives, including cash bonus and equity incentive opportunities, designed to reward recent achievements and recognize your future potential based on individual, business unit and company performance. 

In addition to compensation, Biogen offers a full and highly competitive range of benefits designed to support our employees’ and their families physical, financial, emotional, and social well-being; including, but not limited to:
